Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

There are cards on the table, too! ]

[WHAT EVEN IS HER HEART WEAPON. . . he sees the flash of light that indicates a summon, but he isn't really. . . think about that right now. no, he is thinking about her lips against his ear, and her warmth pressed against him, and jesus fucking christ he is pretty sure this is CHEATING]

[because he's so distracted by her that he doesn't even notice it when she slices through the back legs of the chair and sends them both toppling to the ground]

[he lands with a loud thud, and immediately tries to throw her off of him with his feet]

[ gunblade! it's a good thing she doesn't spare a second, because he might have been able to retaliate. maybe. she certainly hadn't been opposed to getting closer to him, but making the conscious decision to do so was two fold. ]

[ distraction successful. ]

I only cheat because I care.

[ the momentum backward coupled with the fact that he's trying to throw her off help her to spring out of there, though she does lands a bit unsteady on her feet. ] I learned from the best besides~

[as soon as Mars is freed, he rolls over onto his knees and pops to his feet, a flash of light appearing in his hand as he pulls his own heart weapon into existence]

[he swishes the blade at his side, and his flustered and cranky expression curves into a sharp grin. something D.Va has come to recognize easily over hte past few days]

Yeah? I hope that's a compliment.

[and he launches himself at her, blade glinting in the light as he stabs at her chest]

[ she points her own weapon at him soon after he summons his, the blade drawn close enough to lick, which she does, as he flashily swishes his around. ]

Of course it is. But now it's time for the student to surpass the master. [ or something like that. ]

[ she's quick to move to the side, parrying his blade as she kicks whats left of his chair at him. ]

[he expected the parry, so he compensates by digging his feet to the ground and skidding to a halt. he also notices her kicking the chair at him with plenty of time to dodge, to throw himself to the ground to avoid getting conked in the head by broken pieces of furniture]

[and then he lashes out with one foot to knock her down. seems like a favorite tactic of his]

[ oh, she’s most definitely gotten used to his underhanded fighting techniques. she knows she can always count on him to keep things interesting. he does manage to knock her down, since she hadn’t evaded enough, but she immediately uses her weapon to cut the legs off the table and hopefully bring that ( and the umbrella ) crashing down on him. ]

[and more than enough to take him off guard, so. . . here is Mars, being buried underneath a toppling umbrella with a startled yelp. HOW GRACEFUL]

[ how dignified. ]

[ while he’s still potentially stunned she’s going to move atop and pin him beneath her, leaning over to grab for his wrists. ]

[ hey mars. hey. ]

[ here’s another bruising kiss. ]

[if there's anything that takes Mars off guard, it's a kiss. he freezes as she presses her lips against his, face flushing another bright scarlet underneath the contact]

[and then he wraps a leg around her waist and tries to reverse their positions. which may be hard, since she has him pretty firmly pinned]

[ he turns such a nice shade of red that she's got to take a second to admire it as she sits back. she manages to smirk at him, about to say something snappy when he wraps his legs around her. ]

[ oh boy. she makes an undignified sound as he flips them after some struggling. she keeps a firm hold on his wrists though, moving them over her head to try to force him closer, so she can take another kiss. ] Mars.

[she is successful in yanking him closer, until he tips forward and finds himself lying prone across her entire body. but he also tilts his head to the side to avoid the kiss. HA HA!!! HE'S SO CLEVER!!]

[and he is distinctly aware he shouldn't be kissing on a hot teammate without talking to Lily first]

[ this escalated a lot faster than she ever could have imagined and she should probably rein it in and stop, but that requires having some semblance of self control and, at the moment, she's fresh out. ]

[ you cheeky bastard. she drops his wrists to grab his face and pull him into another fierce kiss. ]
