Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

[ Eclipse goes through some of the cards, by which I mean he immediately shifts through like three of them, since those contained questions that he considered too weird and creepy to ask in polite conversation. ]

Do you mind if we read some of the cards?

Then... [ He reads off a card. ] "How important is honesty to you in a relationship?"

. . . I am afraid I do not understand the question.

...It's as I read, is honesty important to you in a relationship?

Honesty about what in particular?

[inspiteful]

Hmmm...feelings? I guess that'd be relevant to any relationship.

If one does not honestly have feelings for one another, then it is not a relationship. It is a fling, some tawdry closed door affair; or it is blackmail or politics.

Well, that's true. I kind of figured even people who are in love might not always be honest with each other, though?

[syncintohell]

Certainly not. People lie about trifling matters all the time. But you can now understand my confusion regarding this question, non? The feelings must be true, but no one can expect complete honesty at all times. That is simply not how people are. We lie to spare feelings, our own and that of others, we lie out of convenience, we lie due to malice . . . It cannot easily be generalized.
