Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

Yeah, but most places still got a leader whether they want one or not. Easier to have a spokesman, right? Somebody to take care of all the paperwork.

Simply because something is easy does not mean it is the path we must tread. If the path is strewn with thorns, if we must walk upon hot coals, so be it, so long as the road is of our own choosing!

Thorns, quite obviously. The scars left by burns are far less dignified than the scratches and wounds incurred with thorns, and thorns are also implied to come with flowers. Flames are only destructive, but thorns exist to guard life.

What about clearing out the dead stuff and replenishing the soil, or whatever? Sometimes stuff's gotta go, and fire's pretty good for that.

That comes after, in the regrowth after the destruction. But I find it abhorrent. The past should be preserved, and that which has no longer has merit ought to be changed, not purged. Rampant destruction destroys more than that which was flawed, and regardless of innocence, the inferno purges without sparing a single one.

Implying there's innocents in the first place. Everybody's bad, it's just levels of less and more. Can always find a justification for bad stuff if you look hard enough.

The justifications need not be true. Regardless of what everyone says, those burned and buried did not all deserve it.
