[ Hello, Idols! Are you ready for a game?

Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

Hey, they wanna give us easy mode, that's on them. I ain't saying no.

[takes her lemonade and contemplates it for a bit]

How're you doing, I guess?

Okay? Same old, same old.

Some progress, so. That feels kinda good.

Been practicing piano every day, too.

Oh yeah? Same sim or you go after that grand after all?

You kidding? Gotta save the grand for a special occasion.

...And it's going okay?

[See-saws his hand a little, back and forth.]

It's going, anyway.

How bout you, how you been?

[Makes a face and shrugs]

Same old. Guess it's been quiet for a while.

[Prods his good foot with her own]

You don't gotta rush, y'know. Lotsa people practice for years before they make it big.

Eh. Sooner I get the easier stuff done, though, sooner I can make my grand debut.

[Prods some more]

And the world can't wait, I know. But sometimes it's okay to make 'em beg for it, that's all I'm saying.

How're we gonna have a band without a keyboard player?

Wow, this's the worst date, the first thing you say's how you got other stuff to do than hang out. My poor ego.

Pretty sure I'm saying I'll spend twice as long hanging out, cause two times the instruments.

[Counter-prods with his other leg.]

[Props up her legs on his, leaning back with mock despair]

You didn't even invite me. How was I to know you didn't have a secret duet partner I didn't even know about?

[Stays. Quite still, actually, her legs sure are propped up on his.]

No one else'd put up with my crappy playing.

[Man, ottoman, what's the difference]

That's what earplugs're for. Unless you weren't planning on doing that much playing after all...

[Waggles her eyebrows unnecessarily]

I - what?

[Wow, he sure is. A little flustered?]

[Laughs, and tosses a chocolate at him--is his mouth open? 'Cause if so, gonna try and skee-ball it right in. Otherwise she'll go for the middle of the forehead]

[His mouth was absolutely open. And it is now absolutely full of chocolate.]

[He chews it and swallows it down.]

A-anyway, uh. I mean, if you wanna come watch me play or whatever, you know I don't mind the company.

[She is killing it with shooting chocolate into HSS mouths today, hell yeah]

Just lemme know when you're going. I should probably practice, too.

I was gonna give it another go this afternoon, if you got nothing else you're busy with...?

Yeah, sure, let's do it. Should finally check out those tutorials.
