Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

Nn, only about a week. I've been very lucky though, everyone on my team has been very welcoming. I'm still not really sure what to make of this place...but I'm very grateful many of the people are making it a little easier.

Ah...it's a relief to not be the only new person. I feel a little nervous since almost everyone has been here longer than me. There's so much I don't know, so I feel a little behind...

[Pouring lemonade for them both]

Aa? You never know. It's only been a week, so there's still a lot of time to learn about each other.

I know! I fuckin' hate feeling like everyone's miles ahead of me. They've got more powers, more memories, more stuff...

[He downs his lemonade, as though maybe it'd help quell the frustration bubbling up.]

Mm...I get the idea this place is really hard on people. Um, I heard my team has bad luck, so I'm prepared for it....but I'm glad to get to have had two fun games as my introduction.

I think...I want to do my best to stay this positive. So I can be strong and pay them back for their kindness when they're in need.

Um...my team....every "bad" game... Apparently we don't really have luck with those. S-something like that.

Well... maybe that unit protection plan's got something to it. There's people organizing so you won't always have the shit end of the stick.

[Grabbing the cue cards, starting to build a little house of cards]

Well, Cardigan wants to protect you guys, I think. That's why they gave us our marching orders for the game. They seem close with Amaranth?

[Pushes some of the cue cards over to him]

Even if it doesn't work out, I'm glad I got to meet so many new people. Who else have you met from LiliS so far?

Just her. We had some beers the other day.

[Hmm. Well, he'll try making his own little card house - though his prosthetic hand isn't quite as good at such precise, delicate movements]

Who else's on your team?

Let's see....there's Lavender, Lily, Gladiolus, Asphodel, Hellebore....and John!

Buncha flowers, and John. Why's he get to be special?

[--Aw, his cards fell over already.]

Because he is special. He holds classes to help people learn how to treat their own wounds in case SensitIV isn't around. I think that's pretty amazing.

Ah, plus he is a transfer from another unit.

Huh. Unit transfers...

That's pretty decent of him. But I still think you should pick a flower nickname for him. Make him really feel like part of the team.

Ah....so which ones are your unit have you gotten along with? If I can ask?

Mike's a good dude, maybe even a little too positive energy for me. Cardigan's kinda serious most of the time, but when they get a few drinks in her, they're great. Gold's chill, and Shrike's quiet but mature. I don't know Nemesis that well, I guess she's fine? If kinda a downer sometimes.

I-I only have met one of them. I really need to work on meeting more people.

Well, don't beat yourself up over it. It's tough - everyone who's been here a long time's already made their connections - they've got their friends and family, all that shit.
