[ Hello, Idols! Are you ready for a game?

Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

I think that we tend to stick close to home! It's a little daunting, mingling with everyone! But this is nice, too.

I'm not all that invested in games, especially ones like this. Winning's nice, but it's no big deal if we lose.

[syckophant]

Hahah! Not all of us can be competitive~ I unfortunately am very competitive, but I also realize that I can't win them all. A shame, but that's the way of things!

Do you have any questions for me? I know I'd love to get to know your whole unit very well, but I'd hate to dominate the conversation too much.

I've got all of this I've got to support with my back, and it'd be so nice to get someone to help me with the tension there.

Yeah, makes sense. Hope you don't expect me to offer, though.

[syckophant]

Oh my, no! Not on the first date! That would be incredibly gauche of me. I wouldn't turn it down of course, but expect it? Never.

[ He picks up a card himself then. ]

What do you think about public displays of affection? Not only your own, but others', I suppose.

[avestan]

They're fine. It's a bit weird to kiss or whatever in front of a bunch of other people, but I don't mind all that much.

[syckophant]

[ Nods, thinking on that for a moment. ]

So you'd say you would prefer not to do it yourself, but don't mind others? I guess that makes sense. It is a little scary, showing your vulnerability in front of others.

[avestan]

I guess you could put it like that. Me, I'd say it's more that what I do with my girlfriend isn't anyone else's business.

[syckophant]

It's true!

Then you are dating now! I suppose that's something I should ask in these encounters as well.. isn't it? We can't all be sad singles like me, fufufu~

Sure am! But don't worry, if someone like me can find a relationship I'm sure anyone can.

[syckophant]

Though I suppose I've no need to find a relationship now~ I'm dead as a doornail! Any heirs I make now will be useless! And to what other end should I be looking, right?

I guess it's mostly for fun, now.

[ That is a good question! But not because Eichi doesn't know, he's just not sure how much he should share! ]

Throwing knives, at the moment! I admit I'm only practiced in their use, but I want to wield something more fitting of an Emperor. Like the Seven-Bladed Sword, right?

[avestan]

There's a pretty big difference between those things.

[syckophant]

There sure is! But I haven't had any time to practice with one of those. And don't you think it'd make one cut an imposing figure?

[avestan]

Probably! Very imperial.

[syckophant]

Right, but also it is probably fairly impractical... A simple sword is probably best, just as it is. At the least I could learn swordplay easily enough. I am sure plenty of people here are great at sword fighting, and all I'd need to do is watch.

[avestan]

Yeah? Most people need to do more than just watch in order to learn a new skill.

[syckophant]

I'm not most people~

It's my special skill. Nothing inhuman, no super power, just my talent! that's how I learned throwing knives, and how I learned to walk a tightrope.
