You could start a list or something and then cut it all up. Then like, drop all the scraps on the ground, and the first one the cat touches, that's her name.

[ she's going to do it. though, thinking of just one name seems pretty difficult right now. ]

Self-picked name, right? She can choose her nickname just like everyone else here.

She's going to need her own unit color too!

[ don't mind her just popping out to the drop box for a second and surprise. ] Here she is! The newest member of HSS.

Whoa! You just - whoa!

It's kind of weird to, like, order a cat? [ she kind of felt bad doing it, but knowing that she's alright assuages some of the guilt. ] What do you think?

[ the cat lays down in d.va's hands and starts swatting at the air in between the two of them, because hurricane is too far away. ]

[Reaches over to give her a little scritch.]

She's super cute.

[ the kitten leans into the scritches and meows. ]

Right! I need to start thinking of names, so I don't just keep calling her kitten. [ she looks at king. ] We apparently already have one of those.

Guess that's off the table, then.

I was actually thinking of Kwin, er, Queen in english, because this lady is going to be spoiled rotten! [ the kitten lowers herself, shaking her tush and then leaping at hurricane to try to get closer to him. ]

[Darts a hand in to tickle at the kitten, when she's closer.]

Jeez, she even outranks Hiryuu.

[ she clings to his front and leans into the tickles, swatting at his hand in an attempt to bring it toward her mouth to lick it. ]

I think she'd rather be #1, but she'll have to unseat King first. [ laughs. ]

[Lets her grab hold of the hand. She earned that prize.]

She's got it in her. I got faith.

Right. I should make her a crown.

[ queen gives it a couple of licks and then just mushes her face into it for some nuzzles. ]

[Rubbing her soft little head!!!]

Dude, that'd be super cute. You talk flower crown, or regular crown?

Hmmm... regular crown, but I hadn't even thought flower crown. How about both! I mean, why not. I do kind of want to see if I can guy her clothes out of the points shop too.

[ queen starts purring the more he rubs her. ]

You could totally do both. That just means her queenly reign extends over like two kingdoms, yeah?

[Scritcha scritcha scritcha.]

[ as if she's acknowledging hurricane she stops to meow loudly. ]

Both it is! Maybe I could weave some tiny flowers into the regular crown. Oh! We should totally build her a cat tree together!

Dude, good call! I got extra fabric stuff, too, so we could totally coat it in something she could tear up.

[Rubs the spot between her eyes.]

Right. We can built it however we like too. It's going to be awesome.

[ she meows, sitting in place as he rubs that spot. her eyes close and she leans into the touch, purring loudly. ]

[Pauses, looking down at her.]

...she's real cute.

I know. Look at her. [ she's going to scoop her up and give her a hug. a meow follows and then d.va passes along queen to hurricane to go to the drop box to get a couple of toys. ]

[ queen, in the meantime, nuzzles into his chest and then stands on her hind legs and smushes her bean toes into his face as she stretches. ]

[Bean toes!!!!]

[There is nothing wrong with face smushing, this kitten could do anything and he would forgive.]

[Scritching her little ears!!!]

[ her ears flick about when he starts scritching them, queen turning and trying to grab at his hands, so she can mouth his fingers. ]

I think I'm going to try making that cat tree now. Give her something to play on. Want to lend a hand? We can let her run around the workshop with these. [ CAT SUSHI TOYS. ]

Count me in, dude. Gotta put those tools to work sometime.

And holy crap - did you find the cutest cat toy in the shop, right out the gate?
