Yeah! that's a great idea. [ tap tap taps her chin. ] I can get one of those strings with the toy at the end. We can attach it to the top!

Like a mouse of a fish or something. Or a milk bottle.

All of those are good ideas. I think a fish would be super cute, especially if we can rig the thing to look like a fishing pole!

Dude, yeah. I bet we could even get a real fishing pole.

I mean - for sure we won't wanna keep a hook on there, but just picture it.

It has the potential to be adorable. Not to mention it'd probably be infinitely more fun for us to play with too!

Oh my god, dude. We could like reel it in and watch her chase it across the floor.

[Digging his phone out to buy a fishing pole.]

Yes! We could cast it down the hall.

Now I definitely need to get her a fish toy we can attach to it.

Annnd, we got a fishing pole.

Lemme go grab it real quick!

[He ducks out to pick it up, then comes back in, holding it up triumphantly.]

Sure. Grab the fish I'm about to buy too!

[ doot doot - incoming fish toy. ]

[Holds them both up, in that case.]

We're good to go.

Excellent. Can you get the fish on to the end so we can see if she likes it.

[ queen is already looking toward hurricane, though she doesn't really know what's going on. ]

Gimme half a sec.

[He twists the hook off the line and sticks it in his pocket, where it won't get into wandering paws, then ties the fish on.]

[ the kitten pads closer, having caught sight of the fish, which she assumes is for her, but even if it wasn't she'd be trying to take it. she plops herself at hurricane's feet and meows. ]

[Waggles the fish a little, then drops the fishing line down toward her.]

[ he's definitely got her complete and undivided attention. as soon as he drops the fish she's rising on her hind legs to try to grab it in between her paws. ]

Think we can reel in a catfish?

[Starting to reel the line.]

No doubt in my mind. She looks like a wily one though, so be careful.

[ queen has stopped moving and lowered herself onto the ground. her tail flicks back and forth as she watches the fish slowly move further and further away. eventually her tail stops and her little tush lifts into the air... it's only a few seconds after that she immediately goes face for a pounce!!! ]

[Stops reeling, sudden, to let her catch it.]

[ she grabs it and then since she's running too fast she immediately flips over it, BUT SHE DOESN'T LET GO. ]

[ rolls around, kicking at it with her feet and biting into it. ]

Now you just gotta reel her in. Slow and steady.

[Sllllowly pulling her in.]

Almost... almost...!

[ om nom nom. ]

[ she does stop for a second to look at hurricane and d.va like they're up to something! but she doesn't know what, so she just goes back to beating on the fish. ]

[Victory! One kitten, completely reeled in.]

Man, look at the size of this thing. Wanna do the honors and grab her off the line?

I can do that, sure. [ she's going to be real careful and then snatch queen off. she seems to refuse to let go of the fish though. ] Got'cha! [ going to drown her in kisses. ]

Guess that part works... now all we gotta do is get the rest of this thing built.

[Scritches Queen behind the ears.]

[ drops the kitten onto her shoulder. ]

Be a good girl, Queen.

Yep. Shouldn't be too difficult. [ hopefully! ]
