Yes, it is quite fine. The workmanship on the etching is superb. I would think it hand-made, though there is no telling with a points purchase.

That's not what I would have imagined as your weapon of choice. Seems too--- messy for your aesethetic.

There are times when something foul must be demolished utterly. It is also a weapon I recall being able to use.

What does an idol need an axe for?

Simply put, it wasn't so much something I needed so much as something I found handy. There were those who were making comments that I could not stand by and simply accept, so I took an axe to the computer.

That's one way to shut down a troll. Unfortunately it's not a very effective method. You probably gave them exactly what they wanted.

They did not see my reaction, and far more importantly I no longer had to bear witness to their remarks.

What they think is besides the point. I will produce, and if my workmanship is elevated to the point that the quality cannot be denied they will come. I am not going to change myself to fit to the tastes of the lowest common denominator. If I produce a masterpiece, they will flock to my work above half-hearted amateur displays. This does not mean I care to read their half-baked drivel on the internet.

An interesting choice - to close yourself off to both criticism and praise in one fell swoop.

[Glancing back at the axe as he says this]

So who do you invite for open discussion about your craft? Or do you believe it's something that can be perfected all on your own?

I have only bothered to take one memory. But if I were to state my own opinion now, it would be the latter.

For shame, Kuzuebiko. I thought you would be one of the few people who wouldn't let your memories dictate the person you are now. Or who you will become in the future.

You dare make judgement because I have taken a single memory?! It is better to know what it was my profile was attempting to hold over my head as some sword of Damocles!

I do not regret doing what I did. The insight it gave me into my own abilities was invaluable.

While skill with an axe is currently worth a trip down memory lane, I have no interest in the person you were before coming here. I only have interest in the person you are now.

Profiles are garbage. You should pay them as much heed as those chatterboxes on the Internet.

Likewise, I see no point in indulging in endless nostalgia. But we did not spring fully formed from the aether, and to hack away at one's roots and lose all advantages and warnings thus afforded is likewise ill-advised.

Hardly. What would you say to a gamble on a possible confirmation or repudiation of your argument, in the here and now?

We each lay down 350 points to broadcast a memory. At the end of it, we can judge the memories with our own eyes— ours and the others to evaluate if anything of value is contained herein. Neither of us have any interest in having our fates dictated by the people we were, so we will be looking solely for knowledge, be it warnings or skills granted. If they are useless, it is your win. If they contain value, it is mine. If you are affected or driven to distraction by the memory, it is your loss for hypocrisy and not staying true to your word. Likewise, if I am affected or distracted, it is my loss.

What do you say to those terms?

I agree to those terms, but on one condition.

My finances are currently tied up in--- [How to say this] investments at the moment. I'll need a couple days to acquire the points needed. If that is agreeable then I'll let you know when I'm ready.

I am in no hurry; my conviction will not be swayed. Do let me know when your finances allow it.
