As usual, the lobby is flooded, preventing you from leaving or entering the hotel without wading through a bunch of boxes and mountains of cards. But - OWO? WHAT'S THIS?

Your phone buzzes, too! ]

Producers: LOL you guys that was SOOOOOOO BAD

[ Wait. That message is gone. What? ]

Producers: Congratulations, idols! You got to the next goal with your stunning performance! Wow, you're doing so great!
Producers: For 500,000 points, you can get something - or someplace! - nice. Maybe you want a spa? A cute cafe? Whatever it is, it'll be shared by your community, isn't that nice? And you get to choose what it is, too!

Hahahaha. Like you, Nem, I WAS BORN READY!

[ oh, it’s hella cool, the sparks, and yugi can’t help but to smile as they approach the turn – though the singing turns to screaming as the train rockets into the bend. the front half takes it alright, but as more and more of the train follows suit it starts to lift off the tracks, leaning dangerously towards the bay. ]

I don’t think she’s gonna make it. [ still, he leans the opposite direction, as if that’ll do something to keep the train in place. ]

[leans along with him, every little bit helps, right?]

Maybe speed it up more? The rest of the train will have to follow, right? Inertia, that's the law.

[ let's hope! ]

Sure thing. Hold on tight. [ kicks it up another notch now that they're part way into the turn, which seems to help... at first. he'll put everything into it though, so they don't go careening off the track, though this train is probably going to have to be retired following their little stunt. ]

She grips the ridges on the top of the train best she can, scrabbling for purchase as the train continues to squeal, most definitely lifting off one side of the tracks as the curve continues.

(Sure hope no one tells King about this,) is her only thought as the train rushes even faster, the back cars threatening to fishtail as inertia works closer to real life than Nem's vague understanding of it]

[ speeding up the train definitely didn’t work like nemesis might have thought it would, because as soon as the majority of the train is in the turn the back end fishtails, lifting off the tracks completely and dragging the rest along with it. here’s to hoping they remember how to swim, because they’re going to be literally surfing a train now. ]

H- Holy shit! ABANDON TRAIN!

[The end train tips and skids over the edge, bringing the rest along with it. Nemesis does her best to stay put as long as possible but there's going down with the ship and being flung off and being crushed by the ship, and actually both are bad. Once they're definitely, irrevocably falling, she dives for it, aiming for where Yugi's ended up (or even offering her hand first--probably best not to get separated)]

[ as soon as the train starts to tip more yugi knows that there's no coming back from it. speeding up the train might have made things worse. oops. he feels his heart skip a beat as his mind races with the best possible course of- and he's getting flung into the bay. ok, well, that answers that question.

[ since he's not nearly as heavy as the train he doesn't go flying as far, so he avoids being CRUSHED, but as soon as the train collides with the water it sucks him towards it and he finds himself flailing to try to stay afloat. ]

N- Nemesis!

[Thank 99 for making Nem test out her arm's buoyancy; she knows she won't sink to the bottom like the train, though the current seems happy enough to take her there. Taking a second to catch her bearings, she starts swimming towards Yugi's position with as much speed as she can muster given the pull towards the train and not towards her friend. Can't tell King, can't tell Cobalt...]

[ THIS IS A SECRET THEY TAKE TO THE GRAVE. ]

[ yugi is doing his best to swim against the current, but, omg, he hadn't gotten a lot of swim practice in and he's doing a bit more panicking than he probably should. but, no, this is ok. this is fine. he's fine. ]

[ as soon as he gets close enough to her he lets out a sigh... and then gets a mouth full of water, which he promptly chokes on. ok. maybe wait until things have settled to do anything. the adrenaline is still coursing through his veins though, so as soon as the train cars settle at the bottom of the bay he's going to burst into a fit of laughter. ]

[Yeah...yeah. She laughs a bit herself, tone breathless and face a little wan, and knots her fingers in his jacket as they tread water]

That--that was amazing. Holy--wow.

Agreed. I, ah, we should keep this to ourselves though. Probably. I mean, like, not tell King, of all people. But he shouldn't be allowed to have all the fun, h- haha!

[ he is going to make an attempt to head for the shore, since all of this laughing and talking is tiring him out and he doesn't fancy drowning. ]

[televised secret, but hey]

[she will follow, since she's preeetty sure the adrenaline will wear off fairly soon and being in the water is not the best place for that. definitely in the anti-drowning camp here...]

[ yeeeeah. he'd like to get to the shore before that happens too, especially since he's sure he's going to sink like a rock the moment he's got no more energy. ]

[ he does make it to the shore and as soon as he drags himself far enough onto it he collapses. ] Holy crap that was awesome.

[plunks beside him onto shore, just lying there for a beat before pushing herself to sitting, squeezing out her hair with one trembling hand]

It was really something! ...I never knew you were such a little badass, though I could see the potential! Too bad we can't tell anybody...

[ his hair looks like this and that might come as a surprise. ]

We might get the chance if someone asks what happened to one of the trains. [ laughs. ] This is going to be such a hard secret to keep!

Well... Just gotta keep it quiet for long enough that it's obvious we made it. Then they'll just be properly jealous.

I bet they'll be wishing they were banned from the train station too.

[ he covers a laugh. ]

We should bring a member of FiN along next time, since they can, like, control machines. Imagine have a train we could control going a million miles an hour.

Whoa... Let's do it.

[ he pulls out his phone and brings up the people on fin. ] Do you know anybody that would be into this?

[ he turns it around for her. ] I don't remember if I know any of these people.

Excellent. And maybe we can do something about [ vague motion to the submatrain. ] this.

tch, Forget him. Maybe after we've taken a breather we can swim out there and see if it's salvageable. Quick as a Wink and Get Hype should work on us for swimming I... think...

Does Get Hype help you with extra swimming?

It makes you operate at double speed, so I don't really think it matters what you're doing. You're just doubly faster at it!
