As usual, the lobby is flooded, preventing you from leaving or entering the hotel without wading through a bunch of boxes and mountains of cards. But - OWO? WHAT'S THIS?

[ Wait. That message is gone. What? ]

Producers: Congratulations, idols! You got to the next goal with your stunning performance! Wow, you're doing so great!
Producers: For 500,000 points, you can get something - or someplace! - nice. Maybe you want a spa? A cute cafe? Whatever it is, it'll be shared by your community, isn't that nice? And you get to choose what it is, too!
Producers: Suggest a location here, and we'll send an official poll sometime soon. You know how it goes!

What's the point of killing us at all, then? Wouldn't living torture be worse than knocking us out and waking us up again?

Couldn't tell you what the folks behind the curtain are thinking. But even if it's rendered basically meaningless in a place like this, death—the act of dying in and of itself still holds a certain impact to a lot of people. Or something.

...I was wondering if people had gotten too used to it. They seem happy enough to shrug off betting all our memories on a game as no big deal.

Lingering, non-permanent effects after a game aren't too uncommon. They're probably just grateful no one's hacking up dirt for three days straight.

Problem is, that only matters to someone who cares about being better than a demon. And I don't know what unit made that bid in the first place.

I don't know either, but I was talking to some guy on AlcheME who didn't remember who did it because he didn't think it was a big deal compared to some of the other bids.

Yeah, well. Apparently some asshole bid our entire unit's ability to breathe, so that was probably the showstopper.

It was BARiTONES who did it. Though supposedly we threw the first swing—bidding their ability to speak.

They're a unit we don't have any history with, negative or positive, so I don't really know what happened there.

I meant the memory bid, but probably BARiTONES too. Though I guess I could have those words with them now if no one seems to know why they have a problem with us anyway.
