EDIT: you'll be able to interact with other dreams (as if you were a regular person in them, eg you're able to talk and interact with objects, if someone is going to try to stab you you can still try to avoid it or fight them) but if the contents of the dream itself designate a Certain Thing you don't have any control over it like a Baritones member would. ))

[ The paper-water moves slow and doesn't resist capture. With a little practice to get the timing right, a sheet can be pulled from the sea, completely dry.

How does being away with minimal contact for three years make you feel?

Any tips since you've been through this before?

If you've taken on a negative role, don't take it personally; it means you're doing your job correctly. Roles are not robots; they have their own thoughts and feelings, so it's understandable if you feel "their" emotions. More often than not, those may be in alignment with your own, but it's important to remember those are two separate things.

I may be alone in thinking so, I don't get to speak about work beyond superiors, but having fun is important.

And what should I do if I do start to bleed myself and my role together? Any tips on re-calibrating?

Genuinely feeling an emotion isn't necessarily a bad thing. As much as we hold compartmentalization in high regard, realistically even the best method actors can't tell where they stop and the role begins. The only time it may be problematic is when emotions run contrary to the part you've decided to play. In which case, the only suggestion I have for recalibration is a reminder that your body is not your own: when we accept a job, we relinquish our sense of selves and become whatever the client needs to get the job done. Work always comes first.

Some find it easier to focus by associating work with a sense of morality or patriotism, so that's also a suggestion.

I prefer to be motivated by the perfection of my craft. I get the feeling that your methods are similar.

Yes! It's exciting and fun! Even if I have to make people hate me, it's excellent when things go according to plan!

Is that part of my assignment? The "getting people to hate me" part, I mean. Obviously things are going to go exactly as planned.

Not always. It depends on the mission itself. If you need to engage with a lot of people, being unlikable will make you harder to approach. This can be risky in the long term, when it could get you ousted by a community. However, in some cases, that kind of personality can help establish rapport with others who aren't liked either. A person who seems like they don't care about what others think can be refreshing, too.

In the end, it's your judgement call.

I suppose so. Corporate espionage is almost in a class by itself. If you were trying to catch someone repeatedly funneling away funds in the act, what role would you pick?

Executive assistant. Someone who people won't bat an eye out if they see them in various places doing various things. And one who has the ear of someone important.
