LIVE!!!
Who: Talon and Coyote and YOU
Where: The Arcade
When: Day 100, late morning and into the afternoon
[ Boy yesterday sure was eventful, huh? What better way to relieve all that stress than by venting your frustrations on some video games? That's the idea some members of Wild City have had.
That, and earning points, because as soon Talon and Coyote step inside, one of them is hitting the live button, and Talon kicks things off with a challenge directed at...anyone listening, apparently. ]
Do any of you think you're actually good at these games?
[ Coyote crosses her arms, tips her head to the side, and gives a wolfish grin before chiming in: ]
Listen up, idols! We’re having throw down no mercy fight to the digital death! If you can’t take on our skills, just stay home under the covers sucking your thumbs.
[ Talon flashes a sharp-edged grin, over-confident as ever as he interjects again. ]
If you think you can beat us, then get down here and prove it.

I'd really like to see you try.

I will do more than try.

In the meantime, let's have fun~

[ it would be rude to learn from anyone but a teammate, obviously ]
And this is a competition, not fun.

[ gonna load up the game while keeping things conversational. It's like she's purposely ignoring the fact this is a competition, or trying to create a false sense security for him by ignoring it. Surely a self-proclaimed young lady would have more class than to go all out trying to spank a 13 year old at vidya ]

[ It's certainly keeping him relaxed about it. Somehow when he feels less driven to prove himself, he's better able to focus on the task at hand. Weird how that works. ]

Simulations really aren't the same. Even though I don't remember firing a real gun, I instinctively understood the difference.
no subject
I don't believe I ever used guns. All the weaponry I was permitted in my memories was non-lethal.
no subject
Mmm. Not bad.
Guns are... well, they're very effective at what they're designed to do. But there are countries where access to them is limited, or simply having one would arouse too much suspicion, so it's also good to know how to fight without one. Being well-rounded is best.

The little I remember of my childhood suggests "well-rounded" was the sole purpose of my training. I suppose it was successful.
