[So, this is the bit where the girl gets a text and runs off alone without telling anybody where she's going.

[Except hey, a lot of people died yesterday! so Wednesday has told people and has company. They're making themselves scarce right now, but it does at least make her feel like she's only moderately likely to get randomly murdered today, as opposed to random murder sometime before sundown being a statistical inevitability.]

[He's sitting on a bench in the park, flipping through his phone when she arrives.

Honestly, he wasn't sure if she was going to actually show or not.]

[Oh - that's Intensity.

[She knows him by sight, of course, remembers him only too clearly from yesterday: time to put a name to the face, she supposes. She stops short a few meters away, twisting her fingers nervously, and tries once again to smile. Idols probably have smiling lessons. Why should her smile be such a brittle, frozen thing?]

You... said you wished to talk?

[Why does this feel so much like seeing the principal, anyway?]

[He's got an ego to rival the size of hell. He just assumes everybody knows who he is.]

[Wednesday's hands still. She raises her head, just a little--

[Wednesday resolves that, say what Intensity will, she will not be mad at Cobalt.]

[Probably don't have to worry about that too much. Each and every ygo would probably die for Cobalt. He's an honorary card game loser. Them's the breaks]

And knowing what you know now, would you have played the game the same way that you did?

I'm sorry. If even one other person had been with me, I wouldn't have played the way I did. If I'd understood the game better. If - if so many people hadn't had to die...

People died because the game was designed to kill the majority. That three units not cooperating could fuck it up for the group.

But I digress.

I don't care how you play. I do care that if you fall on your fucking sword, you do it with your eyes wide open. And that you let all your newbie friends and unitmates know that throwing a game comes with an additional penalty.

Cobalt told me about Lilith after the game. But - during it, I was warned about her by three or four other people. Prim told me. Thorn did. If you'd told me to open my eyes then, I'd have tried.

And since it seems you've been warned now five times over, there's no need to carry on this conversation.

When we spoke last night, I - I'd never heard of Lilith. But you just asked me if I was sure, then moved on.

They hadn't warned me when we spoke. Nobody had. You say opening my eyes was important enough to bring me here today, but last night my ignorance put me in danger. If someone's blind and - walking off a cliff, they need to have their hand held!

[Phone on silent, vibration off. Here he is with Yugi, out of sight. But already tempted to sneak closer because he's just like this.]

[ he's curious too, but he's not interested in setting intensity off. but, hm, a little closer couldn't hurt... ]

[Hm... wonders to himself if FiN's techopathy could act as a radar... Well, Intensity picked the park though, he can't be so concerned about being overheard that he'd be looking out for it.

Glancing at Yugi... can he sneak...]

[ he hadn't considered that, but intensity might be too preoccupied to be paying much attention. or so they could hope. it seems like the park is intensity's go to spot, because it's where yugi had spoken to him not too long ago. ]

[ yugi will leave the sneaking to pink, since he sticks out like a sore thumb thanks to his hair. next time he'll have to remember to invest in a hat. ]

[Pink, despite being bright pink himself, is oddly(?) good at sneaky stuff, so if Yugi's fine with him going ahead then he'll get himself close enough to listen in.

--ah, it sounds like Wednesday's getting a little mad. Well, he doesn't know what went down between her and FiN in the game so he's not going to try to poke his head out to help smooth things yet... though possibly he should.]

[ yugi nods in pink’s direction. he’s a-ok with him going closer. a little more insight into what’s going on would be nice. that, and they’d simultaneously be making sure wednesday is still feeling alright. ]

[ he’s lacking a lot of the details too, since he hadn’t wanted to make her drop them until she felt comfortable doing so… though she had mentioned that friends from hss and sensitiv died. as far as fin goes though… it’s a mystery. ]
