Me too. I think this is the first time a game has ever taken just a single person from our unit. I figured we'd at least be able to help her out in times like that, but man. What a scary thing to have to do on her own.

Once she came back, I realized we never warned her about Lilith. ...You guys are all pretty new... Has anyone told you about Lilith yet?

Ugh, nevermind, I don't wanna think about that too hard. When does something nice happen? What was the last holiday?

It means I'm still wrapping my head around what people are okay about sharing and what comes across as too intrusive or isolating.

I can safely say I didn't expect a person like that to come from their team. They're usually so laid back.

As you know, when we die in games we get revived at the end. However, if you suicide to get out of playing, instead of getting revived, you're taken to a demon named Lilith. Lilith will revive you, but her fee is steep. I think there's some kind of torture involved, and it always involves some permanent, unfixable alteration of your body.

Outside of games, anyone who isn't revived by pep!pep! within twenty-four hours will be sent to Lilith.

I dunno. I'm starting to get the feeling if we want nice things to happen, we have to do it ourselves, like everyone did with uh, the winter one. ...Christmas.

Maybe a team dinner? Invite off-unit friends? Another field trip to the onsen? ...Some combination of those sorts of thing...?

The few I've met seem nice enough... I haven't met that one, though.

Oh! You saw already! Yeah, C was the first person to get sent to Lilith, as far as I know. He was gone for days. Everyone was super stressed about it.

[It makes her frown. It makes her think. It... doesn't seem to fit, with what she's seen of C, but - isn't he exactly the kind of person where it would be impossible to tell, from the way he acts around strangers, who he is in the dark?]

I suppose it seemed impolite to wonder... does that make sense? Is he all right now? He seems pretty carefree most of the time, but - that doesn't have to mean anything, does it? People can be any way they like, when they're in public.

Yeah... and it's probably best that nothing of ours is down here.

[ yugi notices that she seems to be on the verge of crying again and if not for the smile he would have thought he messed things up somehow. he just wanted to do something nice for her, since she's had a rough couple of days and he knows what that's like. ]

Maybe, yeah. Lately it's gotten kinda unclear about what counts as a suicide. In one of the recent bad games, there was actually a warning in the rules that even just allowing yourself to be killed without fighting back would count. The fact that nobody really knows how the rules apply to other games has everyone a little jumpy, I think.

So, uh...Something to remember is that people still play that kind of way, but sometimes keep their intentions on the down-low to avoid getting Lilith'd. It may give the impression that people are playing harder than they actually are. ...Something to keep in mind.
