Do you remember much about him? It's funny, getting memories back like this. I know the people in mine were my friends, but... I don't know anything about them aside from that.

Yeah, it's a little weird, right?

This is the third memory he's been in, but I still don't know either of our histories very well.

From what I've been able to piece together, we've probably known each other somewhere between six and eight years. We were friends and roommates in military school, but we had different specialties, so we wound up doing different jobs afterward. Mine was more domestic stuff, like security, but he was better at combat magic, so he got deployed in the war... which is how he got those scars, I guess.

[for the record, Cobalt didn't have any scars at all in the memory]

So you got to know each other all over again... it must be strange to meet someone here and then find out later that you have all that history together. I didn't know he could do magic, though.

Can you do that here? I thought all we had were the abilities.

Yeah, it was really weird! We'd both been here for a while before we realized we knew each other Before. It was a surprise!

I'm pretty sure both of us could use magic, because of what branch of the military we were in, but he was just... way better at it. I don't remember very much about the specifics, though. I can't seem to do any of it now, either way.

Is there magic where you're from? Does it feel familiar to you?

Me? Not at all, I'm afraid...! I think I must have been very ordinary. I'm a - a singer, I think. Or I'm trying to be. I had a memory where I was selling tickets with a friend - I don't know why, but it was very important to me that I was selling them myself. Something went wrong, and I was trying to put it right--

There was no magic, though. But, what a shame you both can't do it any more! It sounds like it must have been important, and that's a pretty big thing to lose.

Ahh I don't remember much about the magic, but wow! You sing? That's so cool!! I'd love to hear that someday, if you feel like sharing!

There are a couple other people around here who can sing and play instruments, too. It might be fun to meet some others who share your interests.

Oh, there are? That would be even better, as long as they were happy with it too. I wonder how I could find out who they all are...? Maybe I should just write a post about it.

A couple of them are Requiem and uhh this person, both from ☆ZRAEL. Tatsuya from Bad End plays the guitar really well. I heard that Nemesis from avante can also sing, but I've never heard it.

Asking on Dissonance is a great idea, though! Maybe you'll find even more people who like music.

I think I'd better speak on Dissonance to begin with, that way people can approach me if they like. It'd be a bit pushy otherwise, wouldn't it? I don't even know if I'd sing the kind of things they like to play. They might be tired of idols, and... I think I was always meant to be one. At home too, I mean.

I don't know anything about idols, to be honest! I'm guessing what they are at home is different from what we're supposed to be here, right?

Well, we're still entertainers... it's more the idea of what's entertaining that's changed. I think I'm mostly expected to sing?

Singing sounds better than all the other stuff you could be expected to do! If it makes you happy, let's find ways to make that goal a reality!

Not that I can think of? I just had my breakfast and a nice memory, and I don't really have any real plans besides wandering down to the gym for a bit. Everything's pretty okay at the moment!

The gym is really nice! It has some studios that would probably work well for dancing, as well as a pool and a hot tub.

I don't think I have that yet? I'll have to put in for it. I should have the points. A studio is all I'd need, really. Well, that and music. Perhaps I should get some speakers for my cell phone.
