She must have killed someone, yeah. 'Rantaro.' My very first memory was her and Shuichi investigating his murder, and people mentioned both of them in the Flashback Light memory, I think.

...I don't know if I'd say that. But there would be no point in faking that speech when she was about to die, which means she still thought she was helping us out somehow.

It's not optimistic. I'm not saying she was helping us, and even if she was somehow, I really doubt bringing us all through a trial where we'd all get executed if we got it wrong was the best way to do it. But she clearly was trying to accomplish something there, and if it was all some kind of lie for show, she wouldn't telling us to avoid killing each other and work together.

Or, do you have another idea?

I'll never understand what motivates the hero-types. Or those that believe themselves to be righteous. Nor do I want to.

Are you thinking about a specific hero-type right now? Or just the general category?

Just in general. It seems like it comes up a lot.

It's not all hero-types, though. That's why the reason matters, I guess. If they know what they're doing is ridiculous and have decided to do it anyway, or if they're just that confident in themselves even though they know the odds... it's different than if they're just being totally naive and disingenuous.

...You do that first thing, too, even if you're usually not trying to be a hero about it.
