[anyway, a certain Wild Card is going to head to his room and flop face-first into his bed.

[he's wearing his pajamas with plaid sweatpants and a tank top. barefooted and shuffling over with a very bad case of bedhead from failed attempts at rest and bloodshot eyes from crying and sleep dep and well... smoke, actually.

still looks relieved to see chill friend.]

[he probably wouldn't have guessed weed was involved if Joker hadn't mentioned a lack of sobriety -- he could definitely get the picture of a lack of rest and no shortage of crying, though. he would've guessed he'd been drinking before he'd ever guessed he'd been smoking, but judging from watching him approach, no swaying or stumbling or flushed face or anything, it had to probably have been something he'd smoked.

[he offers him a soft smile.]

Well. We should probably set this up someplace where people won't immediately notice or care.

Roof, maybe?

[somewhere close by, anyway. venturing into the cold means his outfit is poorly planned]

[good news, the cottage protects from the cold, so it'd only be a temporary inconvenience.]

[gestures for him to go ahead.]

[he'll lead the way then, that works for him. up to the roof! if Joker looks cold at any point while they're standing up there, he'll pull off one of his layers of jackets and drape it over Joker's shoulders.]

Hm... now I just need to figure out how magic works.

[warmth is also appreciated, and he crosses his arms to keep the jacket closed around him. shrugging.]

[Lily closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. manifest cottage? please?? please don't make him look like a fool in front of his friend???

when he opens them again, a small and cozy looking forest-y cottage stands in front of them, roughly the size of a decently sized pillow fort. the door is a little low, they'll have to crouch to get in, but it does look spacious enough.]

Oh. I did it.

[one moment there was nothing, the next, a cottage.]

Oh. That really does look cozy.

[sounds a little surprised.]

It does.

[you doubted the cozy unit would have cozy cottages, Joker?]

If you'd like to take a quiet, private nap, I can stand watch for you. I would like to see the inside first, though.

[look, do you even know what Bad End's dorms are like? cozy is a foreign concept

so is the concept of the owner of the thing not going into the thing]

Lily... I'm not going to kick you out of your own cottage.

Besides... I still have trouble sleeping alone, anyway.

[opens the door and gestures in an "after you" motion.

when Joker goes inside, he'll find a bunch of pillows filling the interior (unable to be removed), but positioned in such a way to make a cozy place to sleep and lounge.]

[... it's way more comfy cozy than Bad End's ~~padded~~ soft room, that's for sure.

he's just gonna crawl in and... flop. facedown.

[ducks in after him and settles himself into the pillow pile, looking at Joker with a soft smile.]

[...y'know what, ditches his shoes and places them by the door so he's left in his socks.]

Even the temperature is cozy in here.

[shifts so he's not facedown, but still pretty sprawled. gives another tired smile.]

[and he means it! he scoots closer to Joker, though giving him respectable distance.]

If you want, we can listen to some music until you fall asleep. Otherwise, we can keep it quiet.

... quiet unnerves me, a little.

I understand. I listen to music most of the time for that reason.

[has to scoot a little closer for the headphones, offering one out to Joker and hooking the other around his ear]
