I- It's ok. [ removes his hands and gives him a smile. ] I think I got plenty of experience from this. For a few lifetimes, actually.

I'm not too worried. I don't really need to go for the gold when it comes to that besides.

Did you get to meet a lot of new people?

I did, actually! Not how I ever imagined meeting new people, but it's whatever.

I hope we have more fun games, but that's probably asking too much.

It happens. I've met some of my most important people through bad games, even. Kissing's probably not a terrible way to get introduced, in the grand scheme of things. [lighthearted grin]

Yeah? It's those same people that probably help you through some of the harder games too.

I guess I met a lot of people during that last game too and that... and that wasn't the greatest. Besides, life has all sorts of ups and downs naturally, so asking for a constant would only diminish it's meaning.

Me too, on both fronts. You know, I'm really glad I got placed on peppep. I know I haven't really had a chance to say as much, but you guys are all so amazing, especially you, Cobalt. I really can't thank you enough for helping me through all that. I'm not sure I would have been able to do it on my own, if I'm being honest.

Aww, what! Corona! I'm really glad you got placed on pep!pep!, too! You're a great kid and I honestly couldn't be happier to have you in our unit!

Saying you couldn't have done it on your own is probably not giving yourself enough credit, but all the same, I'm glad you didn't have to.

[There's an impulse to ruffle his hair but, uh, what exactly is going on, there? Would it be dangerous? How long did it take him to get it looking like that? Maybe better that he doesn't??? ????? ??

Oh, that reminds me. [ chews on his lip a bit nervously. ] I was talking to Nemesis about possibly starting a workout regime at the gym and she said to talk to you about that, because you'd probably be able to help too. Would you be interested?

Oh HECK yeah!! That would be super fun!!

[ tries to contain his excitement. ]

Really! Oh man, thanks, Cobalt, this is going to be great! She mentioned getting up early to try to keep it on the down low, so what time do you suggest?

You're keeping it on the down low? Any particular reason?

I kind of want to surprise King and, well, [ taps his cheek. ] we thought it could be fun to eventually host some sort of a chariot race. Not sure who would be interested [ a sheepish laugh. ] but it could fun!

Gotcha! If you're trying to keep it a surprise from King, I suspect any time will probably work as long as King's not going to the gym too, right? Hmm.

I go to John's first aid classes every other day from seven to nine, but other than that, I'm happy to go with you any time the sun is up, which is between about seven AM and four thirty PM these days. If you wanted to go to the gym during off-hours for secrecy reasons, maybe I could help you get started and you could go on your own whenever you like?

I don't think we're going to have to worry about finding him at the gym.

We can do it after that, if you like. I can always go beforehand with Nemesis to stretch and warm up besides. But that works too. Once I get into the swing of things I might be ok on my own, but to start [ looks over himself. ] definitely going to need some help. I hope you don't mind a challenge.

It's true! Having an exercise routine with friends means you might be more likely to stick with it.

I'm just hoping I can keep up with you guys. I don't think I've ever done something like this before.

Eh, no need to worry about that. We can find something comfortable for you to start with with and build up from there. If you go super hard right away it won't be fun, and it'll just turn into some lame chore you don't want to do.

Do you have any clothes you can exercise in?

[ he smiles, glad, because that was something he was worried about too. both cobalt and nemesis could probably work out circles around him, since he's the nerdy game loving ~~loser~~ kid. ] I'd appreciate that.

Oh, uh, [ something else he hadn't thought about. ] no, I don't, but those shouldn't be too hard to acquire, right? I mean, a track suit or something should sort of fit our aesthetic.

Yeah! There are some options in the catalogue that are like... PE uniform and sport club flavored. They all still have the sailor collar or look like gakurans, but they're in there.

[ he pulls out his phone to just give the catalogue a quick browse. ] Selection is definitely not bad. I'll grab something later, so I'm prepped and ready for when we start.

That'll certainly make things more comfortable.

There's a pool at the gym, too. Do you like swimming?

Definitely.
