[Maki ultimately spent the night at Future is Now, but in the morning she finally takes everyone's advice and returns to Taisho. She is fully grayscale at this point, and also looks... a bit darker, maybe? Like she's standing in a shadow, or someone moved the brightness slider down slightly.

She changes back into a Taisho outfit before coming back to the common area.]

Yes. When lives are at stake, for instance, there is no reason to keep up pretenses of all getting along. Unless we were bound otherwise, I doubt we would even be able to.

I'll discuss with you whatever you wish. I cannot guarentee anything I will say will help either— in my experience with you, we do not understand each other. The times we have worked well together have arisen mostly by chance, not mutual accord.

I am glad you've decided that you will not raise a hand against those precious to you. But I have not been leaving you alone out of malice. It seemed easier on us both to not speak more than was necessary. More understanding of each other did not seem to help our problems, only cause them. I did not think you or I would like what we found, had we plumbed each other's character with more effort.
