[Maki ultimately spent the night at Future is Now, but in the morning she finally takes everyone's advice and returns to Taisho. She is fully grayscale at this point, and also looks... a bit darker, maybe? Like she's standing in a shadow, or someone moved the brightness slider down slightly.

She changes back into a Taisho outfit before coming back to the common area.]

So... does anyone have thoughts on doing better at unit unity.

As long as we can make independent decisions, we're fine. The problem comes when we all have to make a choice together.

Like I said, it is about deciding now what we can all live with and making a call based on that.

I don't think we can just decide that.

Because I know it'll just get us in an argument where we don't agree and no one will compromise! Why would I do that willingly?!

So why bother, is that it? We have never tried it, but it is bound to fail as far as you are concerned. We might as well just accept our fate at this point. You still refuse to consider any opinions that are not your own.

I consider plenty of opinions! I just also have a practical outlook on what's actually possible to do! I don't think we can just make a few rules and fix everything, and I know that sometimes you have to do things that not everyone likes!

What do you even know?! It's not like you've ever listened to everyone's opinion and gotten them to come to a consensus, even in games where we have to! You spent most of your time in the last game sulking in a corner!

Your practical outlook makes experimentation impossible and hamstrings us before we have even begun. I am not looking to make a few rules. I am looking to hear what people think so we can determine the next step.

Correction, I spent most of my time in the last game dead. Not that any of you actually cared.

We've heard what people think in games, and we disagree on some pretty fundamental points. Unless you have a "next step" that addresses that somehow, I don't see what you're expecting to happen. But if you want to get everyone to argue it out again, feel free. I won't hamstring you.

Do any of you care about anything I do? How would any of us know? No one on this unit is capable of talking about their feelings even if their lives depend on it.

I want to discuss it when we're not facing a time limit.

I cared when you were sick. I cared when you were upset. Everything I say to you offends you. You said it yourself, this can't be salvaged. So tell me why I should tell you a damn thing about how I feel? You have already dismissed me as a lost cause!

I've had plenty of arguments with Shu not on a time limit. I've had arguments with you not on a time limit. You've insulted and shamed people I care about, and your rigid outlook on everything makes no room for understanding the things that are important to me.

So yes, I don't have any reason to think it's going to work better this time. But I'm willing to try.

You still assume. I stopped pushing to target them because of you. As much as they have tormented and used me, I have not once suggested AlcheMe as a target. Nor have I shown any ill will toward Bad End after our spat. You claim I don't understand what's important to you when all I've done is make concessions for those you care about. You never pay attention!

All, all I've ever wanted was to learn from you... I admired you... But I don't even exist in your eyes unless I'm screaming at you! Maybe I don't care about disappearing if it means I'm free from being chained to a unit that doesn't even want me!
