Hi again, everyone. We're trying a different approach to avante Lives. This time, we're offering a prizes besides the thrill of competition. Beat the avante of your choice in an arm wrestling match and win the honor of a date!

[ props his elbow on the table. to match her metal one, of course. ]

[smirks and clasps his hand, ready to wrestle]

Let's see if you can take it, then!

Fine, let's go!

[ and he goes into it with everything he's got—which is, surprisingly, a lot, considering how small and slender he is. ]

[By this point she had a feeling he had a hidden high strength stat, and starts out going hard as well. While she herself is only strong relative to teenaged girls who run cross country, her arm is actually good at this one thing, so she actually puts up a decent challenge.]

[ He grins a little as he pushes back degree by degree, not letting up, definitely more fired up than frustrated at the amount of resistance he's meeting. ]

[Her expression is a little more strained as she finds herself losing ground, and summons a second wind to try and regain it]

[ That surprises him enough that she gains back a bit of ground, but after that he's once again holding steady; no signs of him letting up or getting tired any time soon. ]

["Tiredness" isn't really an issue for Nemesis either, but the increasingly loud whir of gears in her elbow is. She's getting pushed back again, the arm's output apparently unable to keep up.]

[ The whirring of gears doesn't seem to deter or concern him as he just keeps pushing with a consistent amount of force, his grin growing wider each time her arm gets a little closer to the table. ]

[Wow, she can't believe Intensity didn't put a turbo mode into this thing. This isn't getting her anywhere--last ditch, she stops pushing completely for an instant, then attempts to gun it in the hopes this will somehow work for some reason]

[carnivorouscarnival]

[ When all resistance suddenly stops, he assumes she's given up, and while he doesn't let up any, his guard does drop slightly—so she's able to regain a bit of ground when she suddenly comes back with extra force. But the element of surprise only goes so far, and it's not much time before he's back on the offensive. ]

[And she's back on the defensive, and not making much progress--at least not in the right direction. How sad! She can't trash talk about this!]

You--sure you're not getting tired yet?

[She does not give up, but they've made it to an angle where it's pretty obvious how this conflict's gonna end]
