[ as the GAME ALERT goes off on idols' phones and pulls up the map app, the monitors in the lobby of the game tower similarly flare to life, showing the face of a white-haired man with eerily green eyes and matching painted nails, leaning very close to the camera and waving with both hands. the elevators are open and waiting, with the floor indicator lights over the doors showing unit names instead of numbers. trying to enter another unit's elevator just won't work, for whatever reason. there are more monitors inside the elevators, in case any of you were worried about missing this guy's intro spiel on the ride up. ]

Good morning, everyone! Thank you for tuning in~! As you may have seen on our website, today we'll be collaborating with some very special, very exciting guests-

[ he steps back, and the camera pans out until the top half of his figure is relegated to one of the bottom corners of the display, to make room for a large screen; he gestures at it with a fling of both arms, and logos with each of the units' names fill the screen. ]

[ as he keeps talking, the logos fade out and change to a slideshow of pictures of the characters in Imeeji, some group shots, some solo, all candid shots from their past few days here, expertly taken (and in some cases possibly edited a little). ]

As some of you probably already know, it's only been a short time since I graduated from being an idol, so this will be my first time on this end of the "host and idol" interaction! Since it's an important occasion, I arranged for a special theme for today's program- mahjong! Ja-jannnn!

[ he gesticulates at the screen again, and the last shot of someone's face is replaced by this image. ]

But the goal of this game isn't building sets like your standard riichi. These tiles are just simple tools for our idols to use to show us their resolve! Their compassion! Their devotion! And most of all, their luck!

[ the camera angle switches to one where his torso is centered in the frame when he claps his hands, and he smiles brightly from the monitor. ]

But they're not the only ones who'll be working hard! Remember, everyone - idols thrive on love! That's why, please support them with everything you have! The only way the unit you hold in your heart the most can beat the others is if you cheer them on with all your love!

[ the screens flick off and the elevator doors open, not to the large stage, but to individual rooms. as soon as you step into your unit's room, the instructions will appear on your phones. ]

. . . I wonder if that is simply the mentality people had when choosing that unit? For ourselves, my unitmate actively dislikes him and considers him to be a threat to us - rightly so, evidently - but for everyone else, it would be . . . perhaps, a matter of negative indifference?

I feel like -- that was probably it. I don't know if they did anythin' worth hatin' for. But people didn't know 'em, or knew one or two of 'em and weren't too impressed.

[ tilts his head, thoughtfully ]

Then, I wonder if people will start to try endearing themselves to each other . . . ? If this is a matter of popularity. In a limited space like this, you needn't have done anything to garner hate - you simply must be less important.

I dunno. If I were on a unit that got targeted tons, weren't able to protect ourselves... Tryin' to make allies makes sense.

I don't think I would mind being WILD CITY's ally.

Aries-san shared drinks and had a snowball fight with me! And, Silver-san and his brother Gold-san like to play volleyball - do you know the sport?

- I believe they have to get themselves a net and a ball first . . . but, I would assume that you could play in the video room, if you wanted to.

He would be the red-haired man - his position is Ram. It seems he was named after the astrological sign.

Maybe the one guy just gives off a bad first impression.

My apologies, I didn't mean to sound . . . accusatory, to any extent. In any case, we did choose WILD CITY on the basis of my unitmate not liking a certain person on the unit . . .

[ clumsy in his words, trying to backtrack to figure out where he messed up ]

I am - that is, I don't particularly blame anyone by their choices. Simply - ah, it was a silly question. My apologies, once again.

Nah - - I know ya didn't mean it that way. I know... It just sucks for 'em, that people mighta been basin' their choices all on an impression of a single guy.

Indeed. In that sense, my unit is privileged to be more capable of accounting for our actions directly.

In terms o'healing people up?

We were able to choose the tiles we did because we could heal them, yes. Though that does not erase the trauma, that is still . . .

[ with a plastered smile, eyes narrowing ]

. . . A privilege that no other unit has been granted. Comparatively, I'm sure it was much more difficult for other units to decide what to do.

[ there's a light little scoff. ]

I dunno if I'd call it a privilege. If ya had all those powers and didn't use 'em people would probably be takin' you to ask either way about it.

To be honest, it would be bad for my own heart if I didn't use these abilities even though I had them.

I mean... That's just 'cause you're that type of person. You're a nice guy.

I think I'm just self-centered. But, regardless, I would like to believe people would heal each other anyway.
