Though everyone was presumably wandering about and around Heaven and Hell after Tokyo-F's deletion, every ex-idol (even the renegades!) has been given an invitation to return to the newly restored city, which looks exactly as they left it - minus a giant tree, or, really, any evidence that anything heavenly happened around here. Also...everyone now has UNLIMITED POINTS? You could buy back all your memories right now if you wanted. They don't even play on screens anymore (unless you hit the PLAY ON SCREEN checkbox. sometimes it just checks itself. be careful!).

At broadcast time, The Red Sea Witch appears on every screen in the city, giving an address: ]

As some of you may have heard, Imeeji Productions has been renewed for one last season! A one-episode special, due to ongoing legal issues thanks to our friends in...oh, what was it now? "Heaven"? Gyehehehe☆

As usual, our anniversary is going to be relatively bloodless - a nice relaxing time for our treasured idols! Soon to be ex-idols, living comfy and happy retired lives - once all the paperwork is processed! There's no stamp rally this time around, though. Too much paperwork to get through to get that approved. It's just...a few relaxing days in the city, before they all go to where they want to be.

[once the dust settles, Valor can be found slouched in a chair in the lobby, determinedly buying the rest of his memories. there's a lot to get through, and judging by the faces he's making, not all of them are pleasant. he'd probably appreciate some company, especially if it comes with a drink.]

[post memory-marathon, Valor is going to brood on the roof of one of the park gazebos, whittling a piece of wood. as one does when contemplating what to do with one's life now that all this idol business is over. he's not hard to find, though. especially when a wood shaving flies away on the wind and hits you in the face.]

1. Memories CW: non-explicit mentions of physical/emotional/sexual abuse, murder, kidnapping, war, and other such unpleasantries

[Well, with unlimited points and limited time... Hades' priority is to gain back his memories. Maybe it is an accident, or maybe he just wanted it to be open for others to see, so that he can properly take responsibility, not trying to hide anything he's done.

It is a long process, as he remembers meeting Persephone as Kaede, taking him as a concubine, the way he used to exert control over him, and ultimately killing him so as not to give him up when High Lady Kaoru demanded his head. He remembers that time too, when called to High Lady Kaoru, tasked with the destruction of Sange Village in a way that felt less like quelling a rebellion and more like revenge for even thinking to rebel, and how it stung when he realized that he had been sent to his death, and how he faced it anyway. He remembers how it felt, crushing Kaede's throat in his grasp, and then taking him along to try to get him a proper burial before the massacre.

And of course, he remembers Lady Amakura, The Warrior Worth A Thousand, how he had worshipped her, and then how he had faced her. The villain in her story; he had come to destroy everything she loved, and while it was on orders he didn't wish to fulfill, he was not hesitant. He exalted when he should have died, and she died in his stead, and then so too did everyone in that village. None were spared his shining golden blade, and then he ran.

He remembers after that, how Kaede came back to life somehow, changed, stronger, and how they fought and how it sometimes ended, began, or middled somehow with passion. Hate and love are two sides of the same coin, he thinks. And he remembers leading his army, becoming that warlord bent on uniting The Hundred Kingdoms, in order to hopefully scrape some tiny amount of peace from whatever is left of the lands.

And last but not least! He remembers his time here in Imeeji, in the 4th Wall, when he kidnapped Persephone and held him in a room hidden behind his own, when Persephone got free, and when he slaughtered sensitIV in retaliation, before being killed himself. He also remembers that time that stuck with him, the thing that made him decide to give up his memories to return to this place; Lucifel telling him that Persephone could never love him while he was so full of rage and violence(how could he ever, even now, Hades wonders), and that he, Hiroto, would need to give up on one or the other: Persephone, or his conquest.

It takes a long time, as Hades pauses after each painful memory, catching his breath, trying to keep his composure so that he can move on to the next, hopefully without breaking. By the time it's over, he just... sits on the ground there.]

[He needs several drinks. From his seated position, he just flops over and lays on the ground.]

[Well he can't undo the past and he has A LOT TO THINK ABOUT so obviously he is doing none of that and instead has used more of his infinite points to get a bunch of sake delivered and he is not sure he can take it with him when he goes, so! He lifts a bottle, offering it to whoever comes around.]

Come, drink with me! We have got one more night before we must look to our future.

[Nyx is blind so he can't see the videos playing near him and he doesn't really care either way, so people walking by are privy to what's left of his past: an assortment of unhappy childhood details, more long scenes of lonely wanderings, and... ... ...these weirdos? (Is that R‽ wearing her outside makeup, too???? Apparently they were pals before ending up here.)
Looks like this boy was, in fact, not alone anymore "back home" and had picked up quite a lively bunch of traveling companions, even if it was a long road getting there.

Nyx himself doesn't seem particularly moved by the memories- he's wearing the serene expression of someone whose decision is not even slightly swayed by any of these new revelations. But, at least anyone who might have been worried about how he was clearly going to go right home and get back on his nonsense can be a little relieved, maybe.

For most of endgame, he'll be staying near other sIVs as much as he can aside from when he slips off for those memories above. Whenever they're busy, though, he can probably be found sitting at the ocean's edge listening to the waves, as usual.]

and then at last, she records a message to someone, calling herself Kirney Slane, and offering to meet up again when he's in the neighborhood. ]
