[ dottore and x are standing beside a small table that's got a couple of colored toy barrels on it. there doesn't seem to be anything amiss ( at least not at first glance ) but they've all got their wands out, so it may be best to err on the side of caution if you approach. ]

[ all of a sudden the ground starts to shake, a shrill chorus of chitters and chatters growing louder and louder until... dozens of rainbow colored monkeys ( some LORGE & some smol ) scamper out from around the nearby buildings in a chaotic troop. they're there to chew bubblegum and cause trouble, and they're all out of bubblegum... ]

Huh. Guess we know what that does now.

[ X doesn’t seem TOO concerned with the toy monkeys coming to life. Like. Obviously this is fine??? ]

It would appear so... [ the abrupt parade of screaming monkeys doesn't seem to faze him either, because he's already taking out a small black book from his sleeve. ] Echo, I need a hand, could you get me a pe- [ an androgynous mannequin in a lab coat with its head on crooked ambles over and shoves one of its limbs at dottore. ] -en.

[ an a for effort, but not the hand he had been looking for. ] Nevermind. Go... stand over there. [ he shoos it away and uses its limb to tap at his chin. ] Alright, well... in any case we'll be needing some help to collect all of these rogue monkeys. [ because, lbr, he can't be bothered to do it. ]

I'm sure some of the more creative people out there could even make it into some kind of game…

Or a ritual. We’re wizards or whatever, right? So here’s the deal: capture the monkeys and stick ‘em back in their barrels and we can end this little pr- I mean, summoning for once and for all.

[ Prank live + Ritual = 500 points for Alch and 350 for everyone else! ]

[ he does manage to blow the limbs off poor echo. dottore approaches from the side and just tsks. ] You're going to fix that, right? [ dottore still has its one arm, which he uses to point at the other limbs. echo, who is now just a torso and head, squirms on the floor. ]

But besides the damage to my assistant, you're doing great, [ clamps a hand on his shoulder... with the mannequin arm. ] keep it up.

[Oh. Startles a little at the hand on his shoulder, then goes to deftly reattach the limbs to Echo's torso. As soon as that's done, he types out a message on his phone to show to Dottore.]

I promised earlier I would help with Alcheme's next live
This isn't too hard

[ echo gets up and tries to bow in thanks... only to just fall over. it gets up and then wanders off to try to catch a monkey. it won't ever catch a monkey. sad. ]

Did you? Do you mind if I asked who you made this promise to.

And I'm glad to hear that!

If we want to seal the little troublemakers back into the barrel, then we're going to need to collect them, so happy hunting. [ . . . ] Maybe you can even help us coax a few more people here by making it into a competition. That's one of avante's Lives, no?

Ah, so you find yourself getting battered and beaten more often than not too. [ shakes his head. ] A shame.

This is certainly a start. But you don't have to go overboard. There are a lot of monkeys and we were simply testing our abilities, as some of alcheME!s old abilities were revamped.

But, yes, abilities are certainly important. I'm also trying to save up for a number of medical supplies, as I'm a doctor, and as you mentioned our units have had it rough... so while I may not be able to do much given the side effects the games give to them I'd like to be able to keep them as comfortable as can be.

How many monkeys did you animate?

[ goes back to the barrels sitting on the table. thankfully... there are only two of them. ] 26 monkeys in total. That's not too many. The only problem is the big one that's stomping around somewhere.

If one monkey is about a foot tall... [ trails off, humming to himself as he does a few quick calculations. ] He's about 30 feet tall, which is a little over 2 stories. [ nod. ]

How does that even fit in a barrel??

I can make the barrel big... but I'm not going to bother until he's being lured in this direction.

I'm not sure Appel can stun something that big
But I'll see what I can do
It shouldn't be hard to find at least

No, probab- ah, there he is now.

[ the LORGE monkey is ripping out a lamp post and swinging it around gleefully. ]

Good luck. [ he takes out his phone. ] I'll be ready to dial sensitIV should anything happen. Perhaps I should have them and pep!pep! on speed dial...

[Ah. This seems like the kind of thing he should probably create a sword for. So he does.

He approaches, wary. Ideally he'd like to lure it out of range of Alpha before he uses Appel...]

[ it slams the lamp post into the pavement making a sizeable dent, eventually catching the glint of robin's sword and turning to him. oh hello there new friend. it's going to attempt to grab at him. ]

Stomps the ground as hard as he can, hoping to at least daze the thing before it snatches him.]

[ it does stumble backward, toppling over and thrashing its limbs until its able to right itself. it screeches loudly, rolling onto its stomach and then pounding its balled fists to its chest. incoming, robin, it's charging you!!! ]

[In the time that it takes to get back up, Robin creates a few illusory doubles of himself, all in different directions. The odds are good that it'll pick one of the doubles to charge... But it's not guaranteed so it depends on how lucky he is today.]
