[ Good morning, zoo friends! The sun is not exactly shining today, but you're locked in your dorm!

And the newbie is curiously... not in his room? The door's unlocked, open and still unchanged.

Sure. [ rubs the back of his neck, sheepishly. ] Come to think of it... I don't think I've ever listened to the entire thing. All I did was look it up, because I was confused about where the heck it came from.

You're giving me way to much credit. [ but it's sweet. cute, even. ] Yeah, actually! Caeli comes from Monoceros Caeli, which is the Celestial Narwhal. [ brings up a picture of it. ]

I don't really think anybody knows what a vibe check is. I'll be honest... I've done a vibe check Live and just kind of... winged it. Grooming is probably the easiest and Riling up can be pretty situational. If somebody does a competition Live, then you can jump in to just kind of... pump up the crowd! But Rye, Pretzel, Aether, and I can always help you with your first Live.

Hm... [ brings up his phone and shows him a picture of a panther. ] Like this? It seems we're limited in the animals we can choose. A lot of the ones from my home aren't available, but if you did choose this one it's exactly like you said. A better sense of smell, you'd probably be a bit faster, and you'd get claws. You may ever sprout ears and a tail.

Actually, I think it's just the right amount of credit. [ He says this much confidently and cheerfully. But peers at the picture. ] It's kind of cute... Like a flappy deep sea monster would be.

I'll have to think about it; I wouldn't want to do something and not have a fun idea to back it up, you know?

[ Tilts his head and then shakes it: ] No, if you paper I bet I can draw it. It's bigger, like twice as big. Ears might be cute... [ He says but sounds considering on the matter, because he's not sure a banther- panther, in this case, is really him. ]

Remind me to tell you more about the constellation sometime. [ he folds his arms, deep in thought for a moment. ] ...so a previous member of the unit had chosen what I think might have been a dessert bread, so I'm wondering if desserts count... maybe. If they do, then... Zefir. [ something sweet would suit the kid nice, he thinks. ]

Of course. Having a fun idea that gets people to come out and participate is the point.

I'll grab a piece of paper for you after. We're kind of... not, limited, but we don't have access to everything. Nothing mythical, which kind of stinks, but... [ shrugs, dragging him to the tv screen, so he can start scrolling through animals. ]

[ He tilted his head in some consideration at the name, thinking about it and then asking: ] Zefir?

I bet! And if we're going to do something fun we should make sure it's extra fun - [ So he can embarrass himself more. ]

But a Banther isn't mythical... it's just normal. [ He's pretty sure anyway. It's not like a dragon anyway. But he'll look at the TV screen - Some animal names are familiarish others are not, but then his world leaned heavily into hybrid animals and magical ones more than mundane ones. He's torn between a panther: because it's kind of named like a banther? and it looks cute? and a hawk ]

[ he can't tell if he likes it or he hates it. ] Ah, yeah, it's a sweet berry flavored dessert.

I can't say I understand how animals are classified here. Almost all of the animals from my home aren't here and I thought they were normal. [ he shrugs. ] It takes a little getting used to, but I'm guessing we're meant to pick whatever creatures are native to... here. Wherever here is.

What animals were you thinking?

Oh, so it's delicious! [ ... Wait, a minute. ] People won't think about having you as desert if you have a delicious name will they?

That's weird when you think about it right...? Of all the different worlds there might be you're kind of stuck with whatever's normal in one? [ Sounds weird, like??? What if he wanted to be a glow toad that's kind of unfair - ]

Well, I was kind of thinking about a cute animal? A panther sounds a little close to banther but I'm not sure that's me. Or a kind of bird?

W- What?! N- No, not at all!

I think it's more disappointing than anything.

You don't have to pick panther just because it's close to panther. Pick an animal that you feel resonates with you. Birds are a great choice, especially since you'll get a pair of wings.

[ It was kind of a bad joke.

Hmmmmmmm. ] I do kind of like the idea of flying. Feathers? Feathers are good. Wings are even better?

[ Bird it is. ]

You definitely can't go wrong with a bird.

And once you select your color and your animal we'll be free to explore. [ and if you like you do get a free cosmetic to go along with your animal choice! so if you'd like to give him wings straight away you can, they just won't be usable until he's got the ability to go with it. ]

And I want to give you a little something too.

[ The color comes a little easier though he hesitates between a navy blue and a deep red for a moment before going the red - he actually is mid trying to twist around to swe the reddish wings that have appeared tho he blinks owlishly at caeli when what he says registers: ]

You do? But I haven't done anything.

You're a member of Wild City. I think that's plenty. We're a unit, remember, so we need to look after each other. I want to give you 1000 points. I recommend using them to get Frog Materia. It's probably our most versatile ability as you can change yourself into any animal and you can do the same to anybody else.

It can help you get out of a bad situation quickly or even diffuse a bad situation by rendering your adversary harmless.

[ sends him 1000 points. ]

I mean... Okay, I guess that's fair. The whole unit thing. I just - I've been here five minutes so, you know -

[ You know, what? He waves his hands as if to say 'I don't know'? He's not sure he'll live up to the gesture? What if he does it wrong - Something? ]

Any animal but a banther or a glow toad, right? I guess this means I should start learning what's 'normal' for animals around here.

Here. Let me get you the book I sat down and studied. I know it seems kind of silly to have to come here and study, but it'll definitely help when you're in a tough spot to know what you can and can't use. [ goes off to get it. ]
