Who: Yvette, Pentium, & You
Where: Olive Garden
When: Day 505

[ The Olive Garden now has the chill vibes of a Jazz-age speakeasy: the lights are dimmed, there are pitchers of cocktails and unlimited baskets of breadsticks, fresh out of the oven. A horse and a booze fairy play beautiful jazz renditions of Your Favorite Tunes, but how does one get to the venue? ]

[ A mass text about the not-so-secret secret way to enter the land of infinite italian-esque carbs:

Fifty Shades of Grey; For some good music, good drinks, and good food*,
head to the Olive Garden and knock four times on the back entrance.
Not one more or one less.
And then say the phrase "when you're here, you're family."
An evening of relaxation and breadsticks awaits you, friends.

so come relax and have fun!!! ]

[ after a couple of sets, pentium turns to address everybody in the club, ] If you’re interested in performing, don’t be shy~ [ he motions to both the piano and the assortment of instruments sitting nearby, ] the stage is yours, but do consider the mood.

( ooc; It's a secret BARiTONES bartending & performance Live! everybody's invited~! )

... Then - . . . that's the sort of person that she is . . .

[ a long, thoughtful sip, ]

Mm. That's definitely something that's noble, isn't it? Or - more than just "noble," it's something wonderful ... but, even so - loving a person that's that strong - um, having that sort of yearning, for a person whose spirit is that radiant, and inviolable in that way . . . like that, it's very easy to understand Mother's feelings, too. But even considering that ...

Well, Step-Mother is certainly an admirable person, isn't she?

They both are. Your mother had a lot of adversity to overcome as well, even if they don't see it that way. I admire and respect both of them for being so passionate about their desires and goals, and having the determination to chase them.

Perhaps it is the romantic in me, but I believe that no matter how far apart you are from someone you love, that feeling can transcend time and space.

[ it's brief, but yvette can see her expression darken somewhat, grow stiffer - before she presses the cup back to her lips to drink a bit more. given dia it's definitely not an intentional gesture, at least in terms of obscuring her expression; that'd require much more awareness of that expression than she has ever generally seemed to have, but.

the time it takes her to empty her glass and pour herself more gives her space to think. ]

... Mm. I think so, too.

[ oh, honey... ]

Well, it is more common— understandable— to want to have those one loves close to oneself.

I think - between the two ... aren't they equally good? Or, that statement - . . .

. . . More than one or the other, it's something good to be near that sort of person, but even so ... even when separated, that yearning and affection that would be felt - that is far stronger than any dimensionality - ...

It's something like that, isn't it?
