[ it's mingle time!, on a beautiful 🌥🌥🌥 day. ]

Oh, it looked like you were having fun, so I didn't want to ruin it.

Me? Hahaha. I do make a cute bird. But you seemed to enjoy it too. [ moves to take a seat beside him, sliding an arm around his waist and tugging him closely, resting his chin on the crown of his head and shutting his eyes. ]

I did.

You were really cute after all.

And, what, I'm not cute now? [ his fox ears twitch, as do his five tails, like he's daring scara to say no. he doesn't really care either way, but that doesn't mean he can't pretend like he does. ]

[ he laughs, reaching for his head so he can pet him and scratch behind his ears ]

No, you're still very cute.

[ and tugs him right into his lap. ] Of course I am. I'm just barely edged out by you. [ squish. ] What were you doing out here anyway?

I'm looking for someone to piss off and provoke until they blow. I'm very bored.

[ wrapping his arms around him ]

You?

Did you find anybody? [ doesn't seem to care that his boyfriend is a menace. that's one of his charm points, clearly! ] eh, Nothing. I'm pretty bored too, going to be honest.

...want to go fight at the train station for old time's sake? But instead of on the tracks we do it on the train, itself. [ this is clearly an amazing idea. ] And then we can derail the thing. [ because why not. ]

I'm not looking forward another corruption, so let's skip the train entirely.

There have to be other places in which we can fight. Oh. If we did it in a dream we could even use our powers.

[ but but but ]

[ adrenaline ...!!! ]

It's not the same in a dream. Sure, we can use all of our abilities, but it's not real. It doesn't excite me the same way a real fight does, but... [ he gives a bit of a sigh. ] Maybe we can start there, and if it doesn't seem to be doing it for either of us, then we can just fight in one of our rooms. No trains.

No, if it won't excite you, then there's no point to it.

We can fight somewhere else, so long as we don't risk dying.

I said it doesn't excite me like a real fight does... not that it doesn't excite me at all. We can fight in a dream... as long as you promise to go all out. I don't want you holding back.

In a dream, killing you won't be a concern.

You think you're going to kill me, ha hahaha, maybe I'll kill you. You can't best me, Balladeer. [ oh, how he misses having his abilities. even just talking about fighting is getting him worked up. ]

I can best you with no issues. Especially in a dream world.

You wish. But if you’d like to try, then… let’s go.

We're going to your room this time.

And you could turn me into a cute animal and carry me.

[ he turns him into a cat again, picking him up and cradling him in his arms. ] We can sleep in the cabin then.

[ guess who's being adorable. Maybe he's competitively adorable, but he's purring and very clearly aiming for pets ]

[ he'll give him lots and lots of pets. and a couple of kisses too. scaramouche does make an adorable cat. ] You know. I would have carried you as you were, Scaramouche...

[ yes but would he have been an adorable kitten if he did? no!! so he's going to put his paw right on his face as a response ]

[ licks his paw. ]

[ grins like an idiot. ]

[ he's very tempted to claw at him, but he doesn't, so instead he moves back his paw and then slap it right back onto his nose ]

H- Hey! [ grabs his paw with his hand and gives his little toe beans and squish. ] Knock that off. Don't make me blow a raspberry on that furry little belly of yours, Scaramouche.
