[ it’s just pentium’s satchel. he hadn’t wrapped the gift or anything, so it was just a means to get it here and hide it. but inside!!! is a fragile glass container vaguely shaped like a heart and inside that a ring - though it’s currently white, a bit of silver in there too. ]

It’s made of bone and metal… [ he moves closer, setting a claw on scaramouche’s thigh. ] Because that is what I am made out of. I used that other body of mine to make it - carved and worked pieces of it into a little ring just for you. I figure, if you accept, we can stain it [ he noses his cheek, along his face to his ear. ] with a little bit of you.

[ everyone's giving him rings all of a sudden!! he'll keep examining it ]

Did you give something like this to anyone else?

I gave Tea an infinity band, but not something like this. Do you like it?

[ he's making a face so he clearly is not happy with the answer, but— ]

Hey now. I did now carve a heart from my own body for anybody else, Tsukiakari. [ and just as you have tartaglia he has unisonya. ] You are incredibly special to me, my mate.

And I did start this by wanting to tell you you're not a second thought for me. But I still don't like it.

[ kisses that pout. ] And I didn’t like hearing that, but what I do like is you, and I like you enough to want to stay no matter what, and it seems that you feel similarly. [ sets his head in his lap. ] Feels are complicated, downright annoying sometimes, but all I know is that when I’m with you I’m happy, and I want to keep being happy. I hope you accept my ring and understand just how important it is… and how you are to me.

Ah ... well, I want to take you having given something like this to someone else as a good excuse to get mad at you and reject the ring. Then, perhaps I could put some distance between us and tell you I've gotten tired, so it doesn't matter anymore.

... But I'm not going to. I'll take the ring, knowing what it means. Just don't say it out loud yet. I need a little more time, or I really will run.

[ bringing his hand to his head, patting it ]

[ pentium smiles, his eyes shutting for a brief moment. he takes his head back, holding his claw out for scara's hand. ] I don't doubt it'll look beautiful, a reflection of us. But, here, let me take care of that... we'll make a little well and you can set the ring into it.

[ he'll take his claw, not cutting himself with it yet, waiting for Pentium to do the honors instead ]

Will it be fine if I wear it with a necklace, instead of on my finger?

[ pentium uses his thumb like claw to piece the center of scara's palm, leaving the blood to well out. ] I suppose you can do whatever you like with it, as its yours.

I should have it hang low enough to be close to my heart.

[ he doesn't seem to mind the cut, and as promised, he's going to set the ring right on his palm afterwards ]

How surprisingly romantic, mm?

... [ flicks his tongue across his cheek. how sweet. as soon as scara drops the ring into his palm it seems to start coloring a deep dark red~ ] I thought so. I had hoped you'd like the idea. [ he's tempted to tell him he loves him, but since scara seemed a little skittish earlier he refrains. ] I think it looks a lot prettier like this, and it's a culmination of the both of us - a symbol of our relationship.

[ It's good that he doesn't, because he's right, he's still a little skittish. Pentium is lucky that Childe has been able to pave the way but he's still not exactly 100% comfortable with this sort of thing. Commitment. Being loved. It's terrifying ]

Don't you want to taste some of it?

[ it's fine. he's kind of assumed that he's still... wary... and that he hadn't been kidding when he said he wanted to be mad and turn him down, that he could distance himself and eventually just end it all. but he didn't, and that's a step in the right direction. it's been slow, but he hasn't minded. he remembers talking to him in his ideal world, and he's definitely come such a long way. ] Remove the ring and I'll clean this up. We should pick out a nice chain for it.

[ he takes the ring off at that, and hand it back to Pentium - smiling and certainly looking content despite his Issues ]

We can go out again to pick it, unless your snack is more important?

You're more important than any snack. I'd love to go shopping for a chain together.
