One was merely attempting to get a lay of the land, but it seems those who fabricated this stage committed quite an egregious error indeed. I hate to be the bearer of some bad news, but the bastards that run the production stripped everybody of what made us special, unique, powerful, ...all that sort of stuff. We get abilities, but only specialized ones determined by the unit you're placed on, and you're on Future is Now, the tech unit.

You're a smart young lady, so I don't doubt that you'll find a way to fly with the tools at your disposal, but if you're still interested in getting a lay of the land I do have something that might help... [ holds out a claw to her. ]

[Well, it's not like she can take his claw, because she has no hands. But she can at least recognize it as the gesture of invitation that it is.]

Then, one's home is a landscape swelling with beauty beyond compare, with mountains like spears piercing a sea of clouds. Rich is it in culture, history, and natural wonder, vast in both breadth and depth. For all its trials and horrors through the centuries, now it rests, a paradise beyond compare.

One longs to bask in its sunlight once again.

One was but briefly acquainted with the concept of "points" on one's journey to this realm, but one is yet unclear how they are obtained.

That said, one is not concerned. Surely they shall not be difficult to acquire.

Performances called Lives. Your unit has three activities they can host that will net you 300 points and if you attend the Live of another unit or they counter your own Live, then you'll get 150 points. Being dragged to a game will also get you points, win or lose.

And, no, they're not really that difficult to get, although it's certainly tedious to start, since getting your abilities is a priority. It's nice to be able to do things here, and with Future is Now's abilities you'll be able to make things to [ he motions with his head at her wings. ] fly again.

[ he digs around in his satchel again to take our a pair of shades, dropping it onto his snout. ] Open the glove compartment.

[WHOA NELLY!! She wasn't expecting it to start so abruptly, or go so fast! There's a great deal of flapping and flailing as she struggles to catch her balance so she doesn't go flying out of the car, and she probably whacks him at least a few times with an immense 7-foot wing in the process.]

You saw the Hotel. I think the Game Tower is something you're going to swiftly get familiar with, especially the journey from there to the hotel, so let's go there first. [ heading in that direction. ] Then I can show you a few places you can get food from. Free food.

tsk. Now now. I didn't say you needed to cover up. I was reluctant to wear these silly clothes, though I'll admit I've learned to enjoy some of them, but even before that I enjoyed wearing shiny bits and bobbles. [ he tilts his head, so she can see all of his earrings. ] Could you not just wear a FiN inspired one of these? A necklace, perhaps, or a bracelet. It would only add to your beauty, Ms. Retainer.

[ nods. ] Of course. Each unit has 6 abilities derived from their unique aesthetic and theme. My unit, for example, could be classified as the shady bartending party-goers. You unit, on the other hand, could be considered the smart but strange techno-geeks. And so on and so forth. As for your abilities, I don't know them all but I know you can have a robot assistant, you can control machines at will, you can also repair them with ease, and you can easily combine two objects to make a new object with little to no limit. [ he's seen it used on food so... yeah. ]
