I am experiencing many errors in my program, but it mostly concerns my memory. [Yellow.]

I do not detect any errors in my base functions. [Blue.]

Pray, what is it you said you were here to repair, again? One happens to be a tinkerer of great eminence, and few are the puzzles one cannot tease apart. Perhaps one could have a look.

I am missing large chunks of my memory. Such as my name, model number, or even my creators, which is greatly concerning.

I also can't seem to remove my skin to check my model number physically, though I can still recall those subroutines.

A great deal of that sounded like it would potentially follow the path of Buddhism, but I have no records of a Rex Lapis.

And one is unfamiliar with an "android." Thus, one surmises we are from rather distant realms indeed.

That is odd. Androids are known worldwide, from what I am able to recall. And a bird capable of speech seems like it should be a known phenomenon, but all the statistics I know of bird does not account for that.

But I am also missing large swathes of memory. It seems like something like that should be more apparent in what I can, but perhaps that is the effect of what I lack.

Should you be so arrogant to believe it is only androids that possess the gift of speech, or that there exists but one world, then one concurs there is truly something lacking in you. Especially when evidence to the contrary is standing before your very eyes.

Gift?

Androids were designed to perform assigned tasks. Speech is merely to facilitate ease of communication both in receiving instructions and to give reports to their owners or those working for their owners, as well as any outsiders in need or warning or aid. It also has the added benefit to allow androids to seem more personable to put humans at ease since many find cold machines uncomfortable to work around. That's why personality subroutines are also added.

And there are many creatures that can speak. Humans, several species of birds, and some very notable attempts from certain whales, dolphins, and a very impressive elephant who can speak Korean. [The elephant is real, btw.]
