Considering my current size, I am in no position to make any remarks about anyone's appearances. I have already been mistaken for a child once.

Well. Considering I do plan on living with you once your world has been saved it will matter to me - if only so I will be able to recognize you.

[ he'll lead him to his room because he's rude and he's not giving the Taisho dorms toor, it's fine, w/e!! And then he'll gesture for him to sit down while he goes to gather all the notebooks and things they've collected thus far. There's an entire wall that is a giant blackboard and there are of course all sorts of mathemtical equations written in there ]

I know Emet-Selch has told you some of our plans, how much did he go into and do you have questions?

[it's fine because he doesn't actually give a shit about the taisho dorm anyway. the blackboard wall, on the other hand, does get a curious glance]

He gave me some of your notes. The plan itself seems fairly straightforward, but I do have quite a few questions.

[ once he's gathered the notebooks and books they have used as studying material he just drops them right next to Elidibus one after the other. IT IS A LOT OF STUFF ]

I've been studying your world's magic - the arcane, to translate my own methods of time traveling for you. The bulk of these are about that - ways in which we can adapt my abilities to something more suited to yours. But we are working on trying to find a stable way to travel between our worlds easily. If our primary plan is to succeed, then you would first come to my world, and avert your final days after we've secured a few pieces of technology.

Now's your time to ask your questions.

[it's filled in a neat and easily readable hand, notes on the very familiar topic of time travel]

Information gleaned from the Crystal Exarch's memories. I happened to get a look at them before my death. Everything I could recall about how he transferred the Crystal Tower and himself across time and space, I have written there.

[ he's going to stay quiet for a moment as he skims through them. He's gotten a play of the exarch memories as well thanks to being a dick but it's still good to have more accounts of it, and he knows it will help ]

This will be useful. The Exarch was here for a time and I was able to take a look into his memories as well, but the extent of this seem to be broader. I'll make certain to study it to get a full grasp of the differences between our methods. Though ideally we won't need a Tower or a Primal to make you travel across time.

...If we do successfully prevent the Final Days, what will happen to the future created as its result? Will it cease to exist or continue on without us?

We have reasons to believe it will continue to be, and that the timeline we save will be just one among many. For all we know there may already be timelines in which the Final Days never came to pass, or in which you succeeded in your efforts to bring back Zodiark. Though for the sake of transparency I should warn you that while I'm dedicated to help you save your people, bringing back Zodiark is something I want to avoid.

To that end I'm working on finding alternate solutions that won't require his summoning.

With that said. We have had several different versions of the same individual, from different points in time, in this place. One such individual is my brother - his recollection of events is different from what I know has happened in my world, yet I was lead to believe there was only one possible timeline in my world. And I worked closely with people who were guarding that timeline.

So it will not be possible to save them all.

...Is Emet-Selch aware? That you do not want Zodiark brought back?

There are potentially infinite timelines. Even if you had the means to, it would be impossible to know whether you've saved them all or not. New ones could happen as soon as you save one, and so on and on. It would mean working for eterinity.

As for your other question, yes. Anything I do, plan to do, or theorize I will discuss with him and Lahabrea at all times. Nothing is being kept hidden regardless of how potentially inconvenient.

...I would gladly work for eternity. But I suppose if I have a chance of seeing our people restored and then taking my rest, I should not complain.

Somehow I'm not surprised you're saying that.

[ He's quiet for a moment, gathering his thoughts before he continues ]

But you all deserve your rest. While saving every timeline might be the ideal outcome, being able to save one and live there, content with your people, is still well worth it. By sacrificing yourself for eternity all you will accomplish is to just chase after an impossible dream at the cost of your happiness and that of those close to you.

You can be selfish for just once. Leave those timelines to those other versions of yourself that should protect them.

You are correct, of course. Our own timeline must be prioritised over others.

[ he says that with such confidence like, of course he's correct! ]

My world is facing the end of days as well. Or has had. I'm unsure what progress we've made, I don't actually have all my memories back yet. So initially I got close to Emet-Selch in hopes of being able to use him for a solution.

Has he been able to help, then?

Well. One of the causes was my sister, it's a long story, and I'm confident that I can handle her now that I'm slightly more emotionally competent. But I don't know what caused it the second time yet, so still unknown on that front.

We do need to take down the Commission. Not just because they will prevent me from fixing my timeline but also because we need their technology to freeze time in your world so that you can find a solution for the Final Days. So yes, you will help with that.
