Ah. This looks more like something you would commonly find on our star.

On my own star, this would be considered fitting hundreds of years in the past. But I'm from much further into Earth's future than most. Most of the worlds represented here aren't space-faring, or are only in the infancy of space exploration, but on my star we've been doing it for half a century.

... More similar to yours than it is to most other versions of Earth you'll find here. It's one of the reasons Alexander and I get along so well. Up until recently it was peaceful, we haven't had a war of any kind in hundreds of years. People are free to do what they love, obey the laws of the government they choose.

I don't have memories of it yet but yes, there's going to be a war.

Do you remember the causes of it?

Me, partially. I shot someone through the head to try and stop it‐that was my duty—but they were brought back to life. The war had been a long time coming even with my siblings and I doing what we could to slow it down, but that was when everything crystallized. Too many tensions coming to boil at once.

That is the way of it all too often. Though it does seem odd to me that such conflicts would exist in an unsundered world.

Conflict is normal among all humans that I know of. We're not Ascians. My world is an outlier, and we strive to embody many of the same ideals as your world does.
