Panels open up in the ceiling, clear tubes coming down to find every idol from an unprotected unit. Some tubes wrap around them, forcing them still, and others—thinner tubes—stab directly into the idol's flesh.
They're not the sharpest, but what they lack in sharpness they make up in force—it definitely takes a few tries to pierce, all of which is deeply painful, but the worst part is that they don't leave it with just one.
After an arbitrary number of tubes have been stabbed into the idols, the hands retreat. Each tube is lodged tightly—so tight, they're impossible to pull out?—and possibly probably through some organs. Ooh, is it hard to breathe? Welp!
They're also constantly leaking blood. It's like, the messiest exsanguination ever.
Even when the tubes retreat, affected idols will still experience the following symptoms:
Shortness of breath/possibly pained breathing if their lungs are punctured
Constantly bleeding
Dizziness, loss of strength
Additionally, they may (optionally) also have the following status effects:
Perpetually or otherwise easily entering a manic state
Gullible or otherwise no thoughts head empty disease
