[ a lot has happened so let's get the gang caught up and on the same page. to get you up there's the nice fresh smell of buttery brioche and bread, as well as coffee and . . . meat . . . ??

coming out to the kotatsu you'll find the baked goods in baskets, along with a few spoons and . . . . like . . . 8 mini-jars of different jams. plugged into the outlet is an electric kettle full of freshly made hot water, and there's a small container of instant coffee grinds, too.

By the way the smell of meat is a pre-cooked meal of filet mignon with caviar to the side and that looks explicitly like it's meant for one person, but . . . for who . . . ]

[eventually comes wandering out in his nightgown. so not a morning person, so still drowsy as anything.]

[ after fussing over Lucifel he's taking his share of breakfast (you know. the absurdly fancy part of breakfast.) and sitting on the floor against a pile of stuffed animals somewhere near the back of the common room near the cuddle tent.

weirdly, he doesn't seem to have much of an appetite right now, but he's still picking at the food and doing his best to actually eat. mostly he seems to just keep checking his phone for lives or... messages, or something though.

in any case he's here, and looking kind of stressed out but mostly tired. if for whatever reason you want to talk to him. or scold him. ... for a myriad of things really.

but for now he's just crouching, balancing his elbow on a knee and propping his chin up. ]

[eventually, Anubis disappears back into his bedroom, but only briefly -- he comes back with a pile of... stuff?? that he sets down by the cuddle tent for lack of a better place to put it.

in neat piles are:
- six whole board games. four are commonplace enough (chess, Risk, Scrabble, Chinese checkers) and two are a little more obscure (Settlers of Catan, Castle Panic).
- some non-fiction books: an intro to emergency first aid, a book on getting in touch with your feelings and how to express them to others, a sex ed manual, and two whole books about trauma and recovery.
- three of those stress-relief coloring books, with a jumbo back of colored pencils to go along with them.

... he comes back to sit at the kotatsu, looking a little self-conscious as he gets another cup of caffeine.

everyone except the newbies will also find a book left by their door:
- Lucifel: a philosophy of religion book
- Persephone: a collection of fairytales from around the world
- Santa: something that's actually Dril's new book or just along those lines of modern meme art
- Loki: the collected works of William Shakespeare
- Lavender: a book on world history (along the lines of "an idiot's guide to" in that it's meant to provide an outline of the basics for someone with no knowledge of them)
- the newbies... each get a note saying: I bought everyone books before you arrived! Let me know something you're interested in and I'll get one for you as well! --Anubis ♥]
