three bean soup live
Who: Levity and you
Where: some cafe near the hotel
When: 381
[This Live is being broadcast to your phone from a cafe, Levity sitting behind one of the tables with an assortment of coffee drinks in front of him and a... visual aid... being projected onto the nearby wall. Is it a graph? Is it legal to call that a graph? (OOC: also CW for pictures of cartoon food in the link!)
He smiles and waves at the camera, then gestures at the various coffees in front of him.]
Hello, everyone! I've been exploring the foods and drinks we have available to us here, and got to thinking about how one would separate those categories. So, today I would like to present a theory: soy milk mocha latte is a three bean soup.
Now, a soup can be defined as a combination of solid ingredients that is then boiled in water - or another liquid - to extract the flavour. This, of course, means that the basic coffee mocha is a soup, and the soy milk can be argued to be a thickening agent, although I don't believe it's boiled at the same time as the base coffee. But nevertheless, I feel confident in making that assumption. Thus, we can call coffee a soup - and, given that all three ingredients are beans, it's obviously a bean soup. And, much like a regular soup, it can be served hot or chilled!
[He picks up one of the cups in front of him, sipping thedrink soup thoughtfully.]
Perhaps some might argue that coffee lacks the solid ingredients that might be characteristic in most soups... to which I answer: marshmallows.
[Annnd he picks up a handful of those teeny coffee marshmallows to drop them into his drink. It's nearing critical levels of sugar content now.]
Thus, I believe my reasoning is rather flawless! Would anyone like to argue?

but also, he knows Vergil is baby.]
Well, though it's called "milk" it's closer to juice! It's mostly called milk because of the similarity in appearance and taste.

I still don't understand how you would juice a bean.

Grinding, I believe! And filtering out the remaining pulp.

Maybe he would argue out of principle?

He does seem to enjoy being contrary for the sake of it sometimes.

If coffee's a soup, then it counts as a meal right?

Not yet! In fact, someone declared they're going to drink coffee for every meal.
