[ Aether is in the common room, currently staring up dumbfoundedly at the chandelier. he squints a little after a moment, as if his vision is compromised or he's otherwise hallucinating.

what is this decor?? the last time he saw bones in any architecture was in the hirichurl camps. ]

[ he's pointing up for good measure, and is aware at least one person is still around within hearing distance. ]

What? [ looks at aether. then follows his pointing up towards the chandelier. ]

[ Aether stares just a tiny bit more before glancing to the other. his expression is wholely curious. ]

Is this sort of decor normal for where you come from?

[ it's a bit fascinating to him because all bone-related decor are considered primitive from most worlds he has been to rather than elegant (and judging between the general rest of the dorm and this person's clothes... he would say elegant is definitely a theme here). ]

[ he shrugs. it's not exactly an elegant motion, but it's relaxed and there's a sense of confidence behind it. ]

Not really. Whoever was in charge of decorating this place has bad taste... and a lot of money.

I didn't know if anyone would cook, and it doesn't cover anyone who eats unusual things, but I felt like I should, since I've been away for a few days.

Well, it's not as though we have our own kitchen, but I could just use the communal one downstairs.

Takeout is fine, but homecooked food is usually better.

[ aether has been in the dorms (for how long he doesn't know, maybe he slept in compared to others living here?) so he might be a familiar sight— if a relatively unknown roommate that is just wandering everywhere in the dorm.

his defining feature is that he always looks lost.

sometimes he can be heard calling for someone(?), but it's very subdued as to not bother everyone else.

...that is unless you are close enough to him, in which case he is also bothering you by picking everything up, checking behind, above, and under anything he can.

he's crawling under the pews at the moment, so don't mind him if you sit down and he suddenly crawls out on his stomach near your feet. ]
