Like you said, you needed to win in the Horde. And... you were good at that. I know that. But who else was around to hear you say that? It's not like anyone from the Fright Zone could've reported back on it. It's just... extra.

[Irritated, she jabs harshly at her phone to buy another memory without preamble — and one plays showing how super fine and great commanding the Horde really was!]

[she reaches out, touching her arm lightly, just to re-establish some sort of connection.]

[Yeah she folded over on herself — reliving a literal breakdown isn’t fun to begin with, but it echoes uncomfortably with a lot of recent stresses and traumas.

She sucks in a shuddering breath and buries her face in her hands, trying to shove all these bad feelings down deep where they belong. ]

[she scoots in a little closer and pulls her into a hug, slowly stroking her hair.]

Hey, it's in the past now.

[Giving a sharp hiss, her voice staying relatively level.]

I’m fine. I’m just—I was just tired.

[she responds equally as level]

[She glances over at Aster, unusually vulnerable. ]

[her hand stills for a moment and she exhales.]

But you don't have to tell me that- that it was okay, or "fine." It's... even okay if you don't say anything at all.

[She shifts to curl against Aster again, playing idly with the corner of her jacket.]

[she shifts her arm, and then counter-leans again.]

I think I like the idea of us being together again back home better than-- than being here though.
