Not physically.

The game was played in five rounds - two hostages per round. In order to save both hostages, we had to solve a puzzle within a thirty minute time limit. Otherwise, they were killed. At any point, a unit could save their hostage at the expense of the other.

The puzzles were arranged from easiest to hardest. Shogun was in the first round, but the puzzle was solved by both A from AlcheME and Anubis from SensitIV fairly quickly.

So either we were lucky or the game designer is fond of us, then, to give us the absolute easiest round.

The latter, not the former.

Also, the solutions to the puzzles might also hold further clues.

Hmm. The first is interesting, and it's something I wondered about. We're in a contest between Heaven and Hell, after all, and there's a victory clause for each.

The second seems like a direct warning against siding with Hell, and the third a direct warning about being too free with information, the fourth simply a word of advice for surviving...

The last one is also interesting. I know the audience are 'damned', but are they also the dead?

Can't be that, they're being plenty unjust to us.

I don't think they're playing by the same rules we have to adhere to.

They have their own rulebook.

So it would seem. Well, if we are dead they're telling us to be nicer to one another, then.

About that---

In the game, Wild City sacrificed one of Bad End=Dead End's hostage near the time limit. Yasuragi from Taisho sacrificed avante's hostage right off the bat.

Things to note when dealing with any of those units.

As far as I can tell, Taisho is a unit without a lot of unity and prefers to operate independently.

[Maybe even more than FiN and really--- that's saying something]
