[ so this little adventure has been in the works for a while and though both senshi have made a couple of different revisions to it she's ( all of a sudden ) feeling kind of nervous about getting to finally play through it. why, she's not sure, but she does manage to brush it off enough to smile at the both of them as they all ride the elevator down to the vid room. ]

I hope you ate your Wheaties® this morning, [ probably said more to intensity, since she presumably saw what hurricane ate for breakfast. ] because we're going to take you on the adventure of a lifetime!

Is that so?

Should I be signing a waiver for this beforehand?

Absolutely. In triplicate.

[ snorts. ]

It's probably a shame I left all the forms back at the dorm with my secretary. [ snaps her finger, giving her head a shake. ] Damn. [ steps out of the elevator as soon as it dings! ] I guess you're just going to have to trust us to take care of you. [ as your tank and healer, it's our job! ]

It'd be helpful and more believable if I actually knew what the specifics of this is.

You ready for something awesome?

[ she enters the vid room and immediately goes to the console to bring up the program they'd been working on for the past few days nonstop. ]

We created an RPG adventure for the three of us!

[ once it gets loaded they'll be transported to an enormous canyon town with a bunch of npcs buzzing around, though a window will pop up allowing them a bit of customization for their characters. ]

I'm the tank. Hurricane's the healer. And you are our DPS.

[ she's pretty much already figured out her character and she's a goat girl! ]

[Snakes, rabbits, and goats. Oh my!

Though he does blink at Hurricane being the healer.]

I thought Hurricane was DPS. Glass canon DPS specifically.

Figured you'd wanna kick some ass and take some names, so we're backup on this one.

[ she's a tank! she figured she should pick something kind of beefy looking... but she also still wanted to be cute, ok! DON'T JUDGE HER, SCALELY. ]

Yep! It's like what he said. And, guess what, you can be a dragon~ [ nudges him once she's done in the character created. ] We wrote the story that you're some awesome dragon technomancer who's been creating all these robodragons, but there's been talk about real dragons... and that's what we're on a mission to find!

[Raises an eyebrow and maybe an eyeroll (though he's obviously interested).]

A dragon, huh?

The full deal or a dragonkin?

[Though he nudges Hurricane to the console first. Look he wants to see what the party make-up is first]

Whatever you wanna do, dude.

[It is traditional white mage time up in here]

Up to you. If you want to go halfsies you can, or if you want to go full on beast mode that’s on you too. I’m just here to stomp things under my hooves so you can blast it. [ gives a laugh. ]

Hey, Hurricane, weren’t you going with some wings?

[He only glances to Hurricane as D.Va asks him the question before taking over the console himself.

Dragon wings and full plate mail -- surely they weren't expecting anything different.]

He's going OG traditional White Mage. Don't mess with what works.

I mean, I ain't gonna not do wings when everyone else has got cool animal stuff.

[Taps at the controls and ends up with something like these.]

[ points at intensity. ] Hey! we were coming up with backstories for our characters while we were building this world. I just didn't want him to forget.

[ as the both of them finish bringing their characters to life she nods, giving a low whistle. ] Nice nice~

If we need to fly anywhere one, or the both, of you are carrying me. [ she's going to give herself some plate armor, a shield, and a massive hammer. ]

Alright~ I think we're ready to start this adventure. I, your fearless tank, will tank point~ [ starts walking toward the town. ]

[ town, ho! ]

[And following D.Va to town.]

And what backstory did you manage to come up with? A goat, a bird, and a dragon walk into a bar...

What, and ruin the reveal?

[ laughs. ] I'm sure we'll hear all about ourselves from the NPCs. Bet we're real famous and stuff.

[ inside the town there are a bunch of different shops. there's a fresh market set up with an assortment of people selling fruits and vegetables. a tavern. a blacksmith. an inn. a general store. a dozen or so homes. people mill about eeeeverywhere, and the moment the three of them enter the town a whole lot of whispering starts. ]

[Well time to start this off like any proper RPG.

KICKS OPEN THE DOOR TO THE TAVERN.

Anyone have an exclamation mark over their head.]

[The old dude in the corner with a beard down to the floor and a mustache the size of Miami looks conspicuously important in his Very Stately Robes.]

[Also there is an exclamation mark]

[ don't mind her heading to the counter to get herself a drink. aaaand probably get them a drink too. WHY NOT. she'll let them start the quest~ ]

[Heads straight for the old man like the min/maxing POS he is and gets right in his face.]

What?

Eh?

[The old man leans forward, cupping a hand to his ear]

What's that, sonny?

[ ...oops. no coin. ]

[ she sulks back over to them in time to hear the old man call intensity sonny. ] ... [ tries not to laugh. ]

I said what's the problem?

[And then under his breath:]

Seems like you have many.

[Hurricane circles over to Dva to help himself to one of those drinks]

[In the meantime, the old man lifts his cane and wags it back and forth, scolding]

Well, I never! There's no need to shout!

[ smiles at hurricane. this seems like one of those gather round sort of situations, so might as well pull up a chair, get a drink, and ~~pretend to~~ actively listen, yeah? ]

He has a shouting problem.

I wouldn't shout if you weren't hard of hearing, old man.

[Flares his dragon wings out a bit]

I'm probably older than your grandfather.

[Is that how half-dragon ages work? Who knows?]

Sit down, sonny, I'll get a healer over. You're not making any sense. Might be you've got a concussion or somesuch.

[The healer that is here already is blantantly snickering as he sips at the drink. Seems like the booze is not in fact VR booze??]

[ and this poor npc is going to find himself white lightning'd if this keeps up, so she'll just slide into place in between him and intensity. ]

No, he's fine, but how's about telling us what'cha know about the area?
