Where: SensitIV Dorms
When: Day 187, Evening

[ A get-together pot-luck for both units so that they can better get to know one another when there are so many new faces! It's a Japanese BBQ and there's plenty of food to go around! You're free to roam the dorm a bit, outside of the bedrooms ( unless you WANT to risk getting lost in a maze or bitten by a blood eating plant. ) Or check out the garden and onsen.

They're trying to be good hosts despite their dorm...! ]

I don't normally cook within our dorm because our kitchen seems dangerous and I'm not accustomed to it. Lucifel usually does the cooking, but I would like to practice getting better at it.

Would you like to see...? It's sort of... uncomfortable in various ways, but I can give you a tour of the dorm. Just let me know ahead of time if you want something like water. Running the sinks can be alarming. It's probably safest to get water from the bathroom sink or tub if you prefer to get it on your own.

This way, then. I'll show you the kitchen, our examination room, the bathroom, as well as the onsen and garden. Oh-- there's the tent too, I almost forgot.

[ He indicates toward the back of the main living space. ]

It's just the cuddle tent. After a bad game or if you're feeling down everyone tends to congregate to the tent. It's comfortable and soft. You can peek inside if you like, but it's just pillows and stuffed animals.

I can see how it might be a common theme throughout all of the units. We've all had our fair share of tough games after all.

[ Leading him into the kitchen, however..! And it's... well. Yeah... as described...

sensitIV's kitchen is a gruesome affair, the sort of place that would definitely never pass an FDA inspection. For one? The large basin sink set in the middle of the counter that spans the far wall will on occasion just let loose a torrent of blood from the faucet instead of water. The paintjob adorning the wooden counter and the cabinets inside and to the sides of it is reminiscent of the clinic, with neon pink and green and blue splatters haphazardly spotted across everything. The fridge is covered in pastel bandages, and the icemaker in the freezer will on some days just produce blood cubes. At least it seems to clean itself once it starts producing actual ice again!

The microwave appears to just be a giant mouth in the wall. It cooks food perfectly fine, so you probably shouldn't think about it. The cabinets, while filled with all the kitchen essentials one could possibly need, are somewhat of a mess. Stray pill capsules and random syringes full of mysterious pink fluid can be laying around in most of them, and the drawers -- while most have a mix of utensils, some just have...knives. A ton of different types of kitchen knives, completely unorganized, many not even in particularly good shape. Removing the knives from the knife drawers just leads to them ending up back in there by the end of the day, or in more appearing if they're destroyed. It's a bit of a problem!

The lighting is at least bright and cheerful, even if nothing else here is. White and blinding like a overhead hospital lamp!

In the center of the kitchen floor is a clay tandoor oven, which seems pretty dangerous in and of itself but aside from its pastel pink colouring and the "blood splatters" on it, it seems fairly normal. Rather than a stovetop, a detachable wire rack sits on the oven like a foot-tall chimney (so people don't fall into the oven) with a wire netting like a basket. Inside the basket are macaron-shaped lidded hot plates, made of heavy cast iron and blood-splattered with neon. Super cute! Super hot! Nothing about this stove and oven setup is safe but it's sensitIV so whatever!

A breakfast nook provides a seating area and some shelter from the light, situated as it is next to a window that has a view out into murky twilight. ]

. . . I asked for a kitchen because I thought it would be a good bonding experience for everyone on the unit. But unfortunately... I don't think it's relaxing at all...

There are a bunch of syringes, knives, and pill bottles scattered through the cupboards and drawers. If you try to remove them they just wind up back inside somehow.
