When: Day 187, Evening

[ A get-together pot-luck for both units so that they can better get to know one another when there are so many new faces! It's a Japanese BBQ and there's plenty of food to go around! You're free to roam the dorm a bit, outside of the bedrooms ( unless you WANT to risk getting lost in a maze or bitten by a blood eating plant. ) Or check out the garden and onsen.

They're trying to be good hosts despite their dorm...! ]

There's some of the plug holes outside. But I think the kitchen is probably best.

Most likely. That is where all of your teas are, presumably.

It is. We have a number of home mixes we've been working on. Or... I like to experiment with them. Persephone is excellent at it too.

You can simply make your own tea?

You have to dry the leaves out. But we have many plants and herbs in the garden. I dry them out and combine dried fruit, flowers, or leaves to make a particular blend.

I never realized it was that simple... What are your favorite blends to make?

[backstory]

I like delicate floral or fruity ones generally. Recently I have mixed green tea leaves, dried apple, and rose petals with a small bit of cinnamon. Would you like to try something? Another blend has passionflower, lemon balm, lavender, mint, and hibiscus flowers. It's very relaxing I think.

[ Blending the teas and experimenting with them is good for destressing... ]

That passionflower and lemon one sounds lovely. I'd like to try that one if you have it ready.

Let me heat up some water. I made a blend and gave it to AlcheME recently. Perhaps I should do the same for Wild City, Heart Soldier, and Pep too.

[ Moving around the kitchen, he pulls down a small jar from atop the refrigerator. The electric kettle is already out, so he tentatively tries the sink, and-- AH. Good. Water this time. ]

Have you ever used one of these before Talon? It is much easier to use than our oven.

[ Gestures to the... clay tandoor oven in the middle of the room. But this water heater is great! ]

All you have to do is set it to the temperature that you want and it heats up right away.

I have not, but Silver says they're quite handy. And I did think it would be safer than whatever is haunting your own appliances.
