newbie breakfast

Who: 3+1 babies + sensitIVs
Where: @ sensitIV
When: Day 172, morning

[ for those who have lived in sensitIV for a while, they'll wake up (if they slept) to the familiar smell of herb and butter bread: lucifel's probably the only one who uses the tandir oven but he uses it pretty extensively! there's also the smell of toasted cinnamon, which is actually fairly unique to today, but maybe it has to do with how cold it is, and if anyone ventures in the kitchen when lucifel's not there, there's guymag in a large pot available for anyone to have a bowl to warm themselves up with.

of course, for the newbies, those are all probably new to one degree or another. hey, where the fuck are you?

+ there's also a cottage probably somewhere around sensitIV, in some corner. every sensitIV will have gotten a text on the night of 170/morning of 171 to inform them that lavender is spending a few days with them, and that the cottage is hers, so it's not alarming to anyone except those who didn't get the text. which would be like, three of you, so, ]

The timing for, ah, 'games', what these competitions are known as, is, ah...often unpredictable. But, ah, often...enough.

Some of those competitions are...relatively harmless enough, but others...far less so. But there is no warning until we arrive - and we are transported to the Game Tower where those competitions are held, if we are chosen to play - as to what kind of competition it is.

That seems a lot more unpleasant than the other things expected of us.... I'm not particularly fond of games to begin with.

And this unit always remains on the same team, no matter what the game is?

The more, ah, deadly games involve...maiming and murder.

That is, ah, correct. We might, ah, disagree on how to play, or what our priorities are, but ultimately, we remain together.

I see....

Then I deeply regret my actions earlier. I promise that if we find ourselves in a deadly game, I'll protect you.

[inclines head gracefully to him in acknowledgment] Ah, thank you. And I will, ah, do my best to support you, as well.

There is, ah, one more thing, about those games.

I'm glad to hear it.

[ he seemed almost hopeful, but is immediately wary again. ]

...and that is?

...our unit's, ah, unique powerset - that must be purchased with points - is healing, for both ourselves and others. It often, ah, falls to us after either a bad game or if any...incidents...happen outside of games to heal.

Lucifel or, ah, I, usually do much of that work, but you should, ah, be aware of that.

[ that's a lot to take in. ]

So the other units rely on us as well? That's... unexpected. I don't want to be a burden, so once I've regained memories I'll... look into those skills, as well.
