I don't remember the details, but it didn't feel like I lost them in the first place. It's more like everything was really foggy. Because of that, I'm not sure how long I was even down there.

Not that it matters. Memories don't have the power to hurt you, so it doesn't matter how you get them back.

Sometimes you get back a memory and even though it only spans for a few minutes, the memory itself can covers years.

And that memory wasn't even mine. Even though the producers shoved it into my brain.

So there's no sense of familiarity when it's done. Just the same foreignness as when you watched it.

Oh. That sounds. . .invasive, to say the least. Even still, you can't let yourself be run down by the burdens of others, even if you're witness to them. It's hard, but sometimes you must turn a blind eye! I'm sure it wasn't that bad anyway, many of you seem to have fairly comfortable lives.

What was your rank again, non-civilian?

I was in line to become the new commander of our country's defense corps.

And I don't like to bring it up, but I was formerly a prince as well. My mother dissolved the monarchy however, so we could live as normal citizens. You could say I come from noble blood, but it doesn't make me better than anyone else, deimos aside.

So what rose up in the monarchy's stead. Vacuums of power don't like to linger for long. Unless you're God apparently.

It was just a political move, from my understanding. Our country became a member of a republic, opening our borders, so it only made sense.

Why the sudden curiosity? I only called you a civilian because I worry if you all can handle the pressure.
