What: Betrayal at the House on the Game Tower

[ The game starts with you in elevators, the doors jammed shut. You can keep an eye on the city further and further below you, but there's no introduction to today's game.

It's just as well. Those of you who recognize it need no introduction to it. Those of you who don't couldn't be prepared by any host's opening spiel, anyway.

The elevator stops atop the central tower of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building and then lurches unpleasantly, wrenching itself out of where elevators ought to go. The sudden movement jolts you, and when the doors open you spill out into a room.

Hopefully, with not too much time missing. ]

[ Talon is doing his best to pretend he isn't coughing or struggling through panic

Both are definitely happening though. And he's eyeing Gold and his fellow Avantes with a healthy amount of suspicion ]

Joker cursed me with his awful fucking luck.

[ Lowering his voice as much as he can, just enough for Jay to hear ]

She reaches out very tentatively with an empty hand to tug his sleeve. ]

[ He jolts, eyes wide with alarm—from Avante? This whole game in general? The coughing that he still can't seem to shake?

There's an uncomfortable pause where he glances between her and Avante, and then pointedly looks at Jay ]

[ She opens her mouth to say something,

but Harpy starts swinging her katana and it looks like Jay wants this fight. ]

I don't think that's an option anymore. We have to go, before we get sucked into this!

[ That panicked look grows more stark, and he turns like he's about to jump into the middle of that fight

[ and she's really not giving him a choice in the matter, either; she grabs hold of is hand and drags him back north, to the basement landing. ]
