BETRAYAL AT THE HOUSE ON THE GAME TOWER - Session 11

[ The GAME ALERT and map show on the screen of your phones— idols, you know what to do!

The Game Tower elevator doors are open to receive, and close once they have you in their confines and the broadcast monitors click on. You can keep an eye on the city further and further below you, as watch with your host's introduction to today's game.

At the very least it's not Mukuro's face on the screen this time. Instead it's Exael again, pigtails bouncing as she hops up from a grand low bow— it looks like they cut part of her broadcast spiel for you guys. With a showman's flair, she twirls and splays her arms as the camera zooms out to focus on a grand mansion, more Hollywood glamor than anything belonging in Tokyo.

"Summer has come to Tokyo, and so has the season's specialty: The Trial of Courage! Step right up, and charge right in because waiting won't help you at all! Here is a place even angels fear to tread! Azzy's very own, The House of Mirth and Betrayal! This place has a sordid past that casts a shadow as long as the valley of death, and soon our Idols will be adding their own pages to the tale!"

The elevator stops atop the central tower of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building and then lurches unpleasantly, wrenching itself out of where elevators ought to go. The sudden movement jolts you, and when the doors open you spill out into into a room.

Hopefully, with not too much time missing. ]

[ You enter the Kitchen. It gleams, modern, chrome, and threatening. A kitchen needs no haunted house to twist to be threatening— a rack of knives tall as a child is set into a long countertop, pots and pans hang from above. There's stoves with gas and flame, a wood-fired oven and a modern one, a walk in freezer with a very prominent pad-locked— currently left open, but that could change. Inside the freezer, there is nothing but meat. Inside the refrigerator, cake. On the counter, a meat slicer guillotine and jars and jars of pickled ingredients-- hopefully ingredients.

There is one entrance, to the West. ]

[You know what? That last round sucked. Before he finds someone else to play a game with, he is opening up the fridge to try and actually finish a slice of cake this time.]

How bout we ditch out and skip the whole murder thing this time around?

We could go hang outside and play a game or something.

[Closing the fridge door! And then reaching out with one hand to try to pull Hurricane up against it.]

Nah. Not a big fan of the whole stabbing people thing.

Yeah, it's the bad end guys who're so into stabbing. Way too violent if you ask me.

[He is trying again to grab him, but more aggressively this time.]

Look, dude. I just wanna eat my cake and find someone who's down for hiding out and playing dumb games till the round's over. If you're not up for it, just go do your thing.

[Hmm grabbing the nearest heavy-bottomed pan off the racks.]

[He lunges forward, swinging the pot at Hurricane's body with intent to hurt him enough to get him off-balance for mirror tossing.]

[Speed's his high stat, bro. He is really damn quick on his feet, wheeling back and away. Unfortunately, the angle he dodged at put him farther from the door, that time.]

Heh... think you've got my attention, all right.

[Darn those speedy types. H will just have to maneuver himself firmly between Hurricane and the door.]

Great. Now keep it there.

[Let's try a feint to the right with the pot and a swipe to the left with his foot, trying to trip him.]

[He ducks the pot and throws himself sideways to miss the trip attempt, landing in a crouch that's very nearly a fight stance.]

Nah... think I'm out.

[And he's going to try vaulting up on the counter to make it past you and attempt a run for the door.]
