So you have two options: facilitate them in ways that convince them it's in their best interest to keep you in the loop and mitigate what you can. Or drive them away and then they'll still do what they were going to do anyway.

I'm just saying... isn't the discussion about how to convince people it's in their best interests to keep you in the loop, and how you pass on that information, what you'll be discussing in the meeting? Since the one who made the most recent rash decision based on lack of information, shouldn't my input be useful in figuring out what will actually work for people...? Rather than just discussing it with a bunch of people who aren't the problem.
