[ hope everyone is resting well! or maybe keeping busy, as one does after horrible trauma. some sensitIVs are doing just that - actually, it's been a while since lucifel's called a live, hasn't it? but he's in the lobby in a nurse outfit, with nya,  and possibly a few other sensitIVs who may or may not have been roped into wearing nurse outfits. it's mystery ]

Ahhh . . . Uhm, good morning, everyone -

[ somewhat nervously, or maybe self-conscious, ]

It's been a while, hasn't it? Not for any good reason either, but - in any case, we thought it would be good to have something like this again . . . that is -

Hello! This is a medical checkup Live, since we've had a rough couple of days. Uhm, if you would like to get a checkup, we'll be here in the lobby! Even if you don't feel it's necessary, we've arranged to have some comforts here, if you'd like to stop by for some self-care, instead!

[ camera swivel to the lobby which has a bunch of dakimakuras (stripped of their covers so you're not looking at lewds) and blankets, some of them raised up like someone's taken boxes to make them into tables and put a blanket over it so it looks nicer. on them are a few kettles and teapots, mismatched like someone gathered pretty much every tea dispenser he could. there are also a few trays of sweets - desserts from the café, as well as fruits to be cut up, as well as like, ice cream and Japanese snacks like purin and senbei. there is probably literally a boxtable that is entirely just mandarin oranges. ]

. . . Uhm . . .

[ with the camera back to lucifel, who looks somewhat conflicted - though overall grateful, ]

Speaking personally for a moment - it was really comforting to have people by my side, yesterday - so thank you . . . Even though I was a mess who couldn't stop crying . . .

. . . And - in the end, it made me feel a lot better, and I understood just then that crying can bring great relief! So - uhm, if you need a shoulder to cry on, or an ear to listen to your troubles, or a lap to rest your head on, or someone to hug or wrestle to get rid of stress - well, I don't know if we're all able to do that here but we'll do our best to help you how we can!

[ and he gives an earnest smile, there ]

I'm still - uhm, learning . . . quite a lot of things, so this is the best I could think of for "self care", but if you have an idea for the future, I'd be most grateful to know it!

[ then, a beat ]

Ahh, but it's understandable that you might not want to relax around some people, so - well - for this reason, we decided against visiting every dorm like we did before, but -

If you'd like one of us to make a housecall to your dorm instead, then please send a text to your preferred healer on duty, and we'll be on the way! If you really can't tolerate any of us, then . . . well, it would be best to get as many points as you can, since this last game was really bad for scars, but - well, in any case, we'll do our best to stay out of your way, so please let us know in advance as well, or otherwise spend some time outside of the lobby, please! We've made a border  -

I suppose we could try that...

I worry about what might happen if we try again, but it wouldn't hurt to try once. I think it is simply... an unfortunate theme of our dorm, such as in the bathroom.

If it's bound by theme...maybe you could have Wild City buy it for you? At worst, you will get a tiger striped monstrosity.

That-- I suppose we could enlist some help from AlcheME if they would be willing to shrink things down for transport.

I worry at times about inconveniencing them, but I will keep it in mind.

Asking them to shrink a piece of furniture isn't an inconvenience. I think it's one of the ways they prefer using their powers.

Perhaps so. They have very convenient powers. I am often envious of the abilities that other units possess.

I don't think about them a lot, but Alcheme's are the most interesting. It would be nice to try them myself one day...

Mm. Your unit has abilities that are conducive to protecting yourselves still. They are quite useful.

But information gathering would be so much easier with Alcheme's.

Can you not disguise yourself as an animal? As something small? That would be useful I think, no one would notice a mouse for example.

[ He refuses to name an insect ]

Yes, but only for brief periods unless it is my signature animal.

Well, I think it is still quite useful. None of my abilities are useful for defense, and when they are useful, it is only in tragic circumstances. And there are a great many who spurn our unit and any help we may wish to offer to begin with.

[ It is a huge frustration. ]

I grow quite frustrated with it all. I am a dragon warrior, but I have been stripped of the power that qualifies me to be one. I am so grateful that my master, for instance, is on a unit that allows her abilities that can help her protect herself. But it is my duty to be the one protecting her.

[ Nggg ]

Of course, I train every day and I am prepared to lay down my life if it came to that in order to keep her safe. But I often feel restless about our lack of defense in the face of others who have proven themselves willing to do harm in the past.

It is a frustrating situation to be in. I have no powers at home, but I am considered skilled enough to lead teams up people with super powers. I was trained from birth to be the best, but here...

[ A stiff shrug. ]

People only want to see a boy. You have to learn to live with it.

[backstory]

You are a boy.

[ Lifting a hand to gently rest it upon his head. ]

But to underestimate a child would be supremely foolish.

[ A smile ]

Perhaps the most capable individual among my companions at home is a boy who can be no older than fourteen or fifteen. But without his expertise and knowledge, surely we wouldn't have faired well. At times I can be too harsh as a critic, but I would be foolish as to allow my arrogance to blind me to the fact that his ability to survive in the outside world far outshines my own.

[ Tilting his head up to look him dead in the eyes ]

You're still too nervous to spar against me because you fear hurting me. If you want to acknowledge my skill, then do it.

Of course I fear hurting you. I would refuse to spar with the princess, too, but I know her to be very strong as well.

[ . . . . . . IT FEELS WRONG. ]

What do you even plan to use? I am decent with a sword-- I have been training. [He's not an expert swordsman like Lucifel or his brother, but he can handle that portion of things. And while his hand is not as strong as it once was, his right hand still has a good deal of power behind it. After all, it's not a human hand. And so what he may lack in grace when it comes to handling the weapon, it makes up for in strength, so long as he uses his right hand.]

The whip is what I struggle to use, and it could seriously harm you if you are struck.

I was considering a staff. It will give me a blocking range large enough to handle your whip.

[backstory]

I think I should use something other than my weapon if we are to spar. Furthermore, I would prefer to see you use a staff first, to begin with.

[ MAKE SURE HE.... will not.... get majorly injured. ]

At the very least, allow me to show you the weapon first of all for now.

I can show you my skill with one after you show me your weapon.

Right.

[ It's within its sheath, propped up against a wall when he moves inside. He crosses the pastel themed room in order to fetch it and holds it out with his palms up so that Talon can take hold of it if he likes.

It is something like these three things. It's currently being commissioned]

Oh, the reach is longer than I thought... I still think a staff is the best defense against it that I have, but you will be quite formidable once you master this.

I am quite pleased with it! I do not think I am as good as Lucifel with a sword right now, and Avante has an obvious advantage in general, but using its other special features should make a huge difference in battle.

It certainly will. This would be quite devastating in a real battle if your opponent did not know how to counter it.
