[ hope everyone is resting well! or maybe keeping busy, as one does after horrible trauma. some sensitIVs are doing just that - actually, it's been a while since lucifel's called a live, hasn't it? but he's in the lobby in a nurse outfit, with nya,  and possibly a few other sensitIVs who may or may not have been roped into wearing nurse outfits. it's mystery ]

Ahhh . . . Uhm, good morning, everyone -

[ somewhat nervously, or maybe self-conscious, ]

It's been a while, hasn't it? Not for any good reason either, but - in any case, we thought it would be good to have something like this again . . . that is -

Hello! This is a medical checkup Live, since we've had a rough couple of days. Uhm, if you would like to get a checkup, we'll be here in the lobby! Even if you don't feel it's necessary, we've arranged to have some comforts here, if you'd like to stop by for some self-care, instead!

[ camera swivel to the lobby which has a bunch of dakimakuras (stripped of their covers so you're not looking at lewds) and blankets, some of them raised up like someone's taken boxes to make them into tables and put a blanket over it so it looks nicer. on them are a few kettles and teapots, mismatched like someone gathered pretty much every tea dispenser he could. there are also a few trays of sweets - desserts from the café, as well as fruits to be cut up, as well as like, ice cream and Japanese snacks like purin and senbei. there is probably literally a boxtable that is entirely just mandarin oranges. ]

. . . Uhm . . .

[ with the camera back to lucifel, who looks somewhat conflicted - though overall grateful, ]

Speaking personally for a moment - it was really comforting to have people by my side, yesterday - so thank you . . . Even though I was a mess who couldn't stop crying . . .

. . . And - in the end, it made me feel a lot better, and I understood just then that crying can bring great relief! So - uhm, if you need a shoulder to cry on, or an ear to listen to your troubles, or a lap to rest your head on, or someone to hug or wrestle to get rid of stress - well, I don't know if we're all able to do that here but we'll do our best to help you how we can!

[ and he gives an earnest smile, there ]

I'm still - uhm, learning . . . quite a lot of things, so this is the best I could think of for "self care", but if you have an idea for the future, I'd be most grateful to know it!

[ then, a beat ]

Ahh, but it's understandable that you might not want to relax around some people, so - well - for this reason, we decided against visiting every dorm like we did before, but -

If you'd like one of us to make a housecall to your dorm instead, then please send a text to your preferred healer on duty, and we'll be on the way! If you really can't tolerate any of us, then . . . well, it would be best to get as many points as you can, since this last game was really bad for scars, but - well, in any case, we'll do our best to stay out of your way, so please let us know in advance as well, or otherwise spend some time outside of the lobby, please! We've made a border  -

We are -- were? -- friends... He was so furious with me after the game that I wasn't sure if that was still the case, to be honest. We parted on bad terms and we haven't spoken since then.

I still care about him, though, and I know the game yesterday was... really bad.

It was especially bad for sensitIV... He didn't want me to even ask about it.

I wasn't in the game so I have no idea what happened, but the state people were in afterward... [he swallows]

Was Wild City okay? Were you okay?

...Wild City survived. We were not hurt as badly as sensitIV was.

I'm sorry to hear you got hurt, though. That must have been tough.

How are you doing, after all that?

It...was. But I'm accustomed to pain. ...and Leviathan and the rest of sensitIV were pushing themselves to take everyone's pain away, so it did not even last long.

Now I am... I have been tired, but that's one of the reasons I decided to attend this. For the "self care" part of it.

I don't know if you're interested, but we got a home theater in a dorm upgrade, as well as a swimming pool. So if you ever want to come over and hang out, you're always welcome. We've been thinking about doing some kind of comedy movie marathon at some point.

An entire theater? Does it play movies that are actually good, or only the weird hell versions?

Basically the same movies that you can find in the point store. All the modern ones are ultra-violent, but there are old black-and-white movies that seem pretty decent? Plenty of lighthearted silent films, for example.

I... There is something I want to discuss before I agree to a visit. About Moreau, and the things that took place after what happened to him.

[ Kind of thrown off by how easy this suddenly seems ]

Ah—well. I was told about the stipulations your unit placed on the teammates of murderers after that, and I was also told that second-hand sources informed us you took it back.

Did you really? And... I do not need to know what your unit was thinking when they first made the declaration. I don't think I would understand even if you told me now, but I would like to know how they intend to handle...similar situations in the future.

Ah, yeah. We changed our policy shortly after making that announcement. The part about holding unitmates accountable was struck out pretty fast.

The way it theoretically works now is that whoever performs the revival may ask the person responsible for the death to pay a fee before we agree to revive them in the future. It's up to each individual pep to choose whether or not to do this, though, and I think it would have to be a pretty extreme situation for any of us to actually take advantage of our own policy. So far nobody in our unit has ever asked for a single point to revive anyone.

We have our policy written up in a document that we use internally... Would you like me to get it for you so you can see?

You've put a great deal of thought into this if you have an actual document in place...

... If someone murders an individual from their home world who was responsible for...violence, crimes, anything of that nature that was done to them—does that change how you would approach it? Is it something you would try to find out at all?

I...don't believe that is a question I can answer. ...I don't know.

And it is not the part that concerns me most. It's the treatment of the person who killed someone so terrible that matters most to me.

... When Leviathan took his revenge over Lucifel's murder... Did you see how devastated he was over how he was treated? How Doodleman was treated in comparison? I don't know what you thought of it, but I... I was afraid that he would allow himself to go gray and disappear. I thought he was going to die.

...I understand the weight of murder, but it is...complicated. It is always complicated, but my concern is that people only see it as a black and white issue.

Leviathan's situation wasn't black and white, and neither was Aries and Moreau, but it...doesn't seem like anyone ever cared about it. Or tried to understand. Most of Wild City has someone like Moreau in our memories, and many of us are... [ Hesitates here, swallowing uneasily ]

...Even I was raised as an assassin. So—it is a pressing concern. What will happen if one of us is caught in a similar situation in the future.

Yeah... Things are rarely that straightforward. It's hard.

We didn't decide to make that policy just to punish Aries or Wild City or anything, but it's true that we definitely didn't show the compassion we could have. This, too, was not a black and white situation, for anyone.

I know you didn't ask, but there were a lot of things going on at the time that might put into context why things went the way they did, if you have time or inclination to listen.
