Gold said he’d try to keep Adora’s promise to protect me and tell me if they didn’t, and their new girl swore to keep Adora’s promise and, like, offered me her head if she failed — which I don’t want, but, uh, that’s Avante. . . And Amaranth will probably try to keep Lilis off of us if she’s around for a game. Sekhmet will defend us to SensitiV.

[Presses a hand to her own chest, ears flat, and her tone is urgent and earnest, she badly wants Eichi to believe her. ]

Trust me to do what you need. If that’s not enough—if you need me to fight, I can fight, and I’ll even do that stupid “making friend” stuff that Yvette is always going on about if you want.
